You want to use this exchange for buying coins or holding means storing your coins?

There are plenty of complaints about this exchange you can just this exchange section to get an idea. So I suggest better don't use it.

For storing coins never use any exchanges because you may lose coins if they block your account for any reason. So you always need to store in desktop wallets.

OP. for you to have an idea see this:  HitBTC warning

Ticket#145656 from Jan 5.
Ticket#160671 from Jan 7.

I had to submit tickets for 2FA removal to most exchanges (Bittrex, Bitfinex, Binance, Poloniex, Cryptopia, Kraken). I have regained access to every account for over 24 hours except for HitBTC. They finally managed to forward me to their compliance officer but cannot tell me why or give a timeline as to how long this process normally takes. There are multiple threads on Reddit (https://reddit.com/r/hitbtc) as well as Bitcointalk stating that HitBTC takes 3+ weeks to release accounts, IF the account owner gets their account back at all. I have personally spoken with a Reddit user who claims that his account holds $100k+ and has not been released for 20 days. Obviously I can't verify his claim but I can say that the information I have provided HitBTC was enough to have 6 other exchanges release my account within 48 hours. I have attempted to communicate with the support staff through email, I have messaged /u/hitbtc on reddit, I created a Twitter to try and have a representative acknowledge me. All of that work has gotten me nowhere.

I think that we would like to believe that HitBTC has intentions to be an upstanding exchange that traders can rely on and trust in. They try to add more coins every other day but they cannot even handle the roster that they currently "offer". For myself (and others, I think it's fair to assume) to say that this site doesn't seem to be a scam, we would need their support to be more open and give actual details. I can't find one 2FA thread from December or January that has been resolved and this leads everyone who has open tickets relating to this issue to come to the conclusion that their "compliance officer" either has a very lenient vacation policy or does not exist and is simply a stalling mechanism. Whether that mechanism is because of their lackluster servers or for for nefarious reasons is up to you to decide.

@HitBTC, if you read this and would like to explain your side of the situation please respond.

So I suggest better don't use it.

I agree.
