The Price is really down at the moment but I don't think that Dow Jones and bitcoin is related at all and If it is down it doesn't mean that bitcoin is responsible for its down trend because it is two different things, And in my opinion it is just a coincidence that both are down at the same time, But it will never be bitcoins fault that Dow Jones are down at the meantime.

Definitely, I agree to you sir, maybe it's only a coincidence. No need to worry about this, I think Bitcoin is only undergo for it's ups and down fluctuation. This is like it's previous experiences. There will be a decreasing and after that increasing is coming. Just hold on and believe that the better one is coming soon. Two different things will not become one ever. So just regret it and don't panic.

Even if its a catastrophic crash, BTC will still perform better than most if not all currencies.
Either way I plan to clean up during any financial crash, cheap houses and stocks.

Since when does Dow Jones reflect prices of bitcoin? If anything, crisis on US stock market is a good prognosis for bitcoin prices. Those people desperately withdraw their money from stocks and they have to put it back into something.

I think when the stock market prices fell, then more money should be transferred to cryptocurrency market, so when stocks have fallen, we should feel excited, because the cryptocurrency market of bull market has come.
Maybe or maybe not. Many people don't know or enough understand about cryptocurrency and blockchain. Many don't like invest to startup and here even they don't know any physically company based as we can see many scammed. So only person who have IT skill will jump to this market as well. Let's hope bull market will come soon and I wish it will be stable not much bubble like before

U.S stock market Dow Jones fell -800 points in 20 minutes last week Crisis coming to Bitcoin I don't think so. I saw an article, I don't remember where, and I didn't kept it, that says there is a light correlation between stock markets and crypto markets, but only if you analyse the "fear index". So the correlation is not really a direct one, so we can have a bearish break on the stock market, and that doesn't necessarily mean that we will also have one on the crypto markets. I hope that in the future we will see an inverse correlation between the two, that would show that investors would be returning to crypto to hedge their losses, but since crypto is so volatile, I don't think we will see that in a near future.

Dow Jones -300 points today.
It seems is recovering now since the market is green, however I have the feeling bitcoin and stocks are not correlated and in fact can become negative correlated, so when stocks go down in certain circumstances the price of bitcoin will go up and I think the biggest chance of this happening is during a crisis where people will try to find a way to protect the money they spent a life accumulating and one of the answers will be to invest in bitcoin during those difficult times.

I still do not see a way out of the crisis. You see? It seems to me that people do not trust the existing financial system for a long time and therefore the number of bitcoin users increases every year. A lot of rich people are now abandoning the dollar and investing in bitcoin. I think very soon the American economy will experience a deficit of investment.

According to the following hedge fund guy, people should invest in bitcoin to hedge against a trade war: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/02/use-bitcoin-to-hedge-during-a-trade-war-bitcoin-bull-brian-kelly.htmlTo combat fears of a trade war, put your money in bitcoin, said hedge-fund manager and bitcoin bull Brian Kelly.
"In this environment," Kelly said of fears of a potential trade war, "I want to own those things that are deflationary and fixed supply in an inflationary environment. And look at what bitcoin has done the last couple of days."
During a trade war, Kelly said, currencies get weaker, such as the dollar's depreciating value last week, and prices rise.
"Generally speaking, you want to own hard assets," he said.
In the past, said Kelly, who has "like 90 percent" of his money invested in bitcoin, investors would hedge with gold.
"But you know what, now we have bitcoin," he said. "Bitcoin has a fixed supply. It acts exactly like a hard asset, exactly like a commodity."
"In the trade war," he said, "it does well."

The crisis is inevitable in fact this is one of the reasons why I'm bitcoin in the first place since I recognize that at some point during my lifetime the current system will crash and a new system will be put in place that is even more unfair, however I do not know if the system is going to crash that soon after all the system should have collapsed many years ago and yet it is still here which show to me two things, how powerful banks and governments really are and how indifferent people are with their finances and the finances of their country.

We've seen such situations on the stock market before. And even worse. As far as I know there is no proved corelation between such crisis and influence on Bitcoin, at least not direct one. I'm not saying there couldn't be any influence but we don't have to expect some huge impact that will cause some huge dump in Bitcoin price.

Exactly, I don't see any correlation between the two. Its 2 different market. Although the price of bitcoin dip and now below $11K I don't think that it has something to do with the Dow Jones effect. In fact, bitcoin price can be manipulated and I don't think that some big shot Wall Street guy can do that in Dow. Right now people are just cashing it out that's why bitcoin price suddenly dip. But rest assured that it will recover once again.

U.S stock market Dow Jones fell -800 points in 20 minutes last week Crisis coming to Bitcoin Stocks and bitcoin should be regarded as completely different asset classes. Bitcoin is currency, stocks are stocks/securities in a company. It's like saying Dow is crashing, therefore gold and silver will also crash. Just doesn't work like that in reality, they're completely different. We actually saw bitcoin's prices grow from the time you posted this to yesterday, albeit the crash that we saw today which had nothing to do with the Dow as it actually went up 0.04% which is pretty much stable. Bitcoin will crash if it's in a bubble and a panic dump happens to take it down under $10k once again... I don't think that anything external apart from regulations concerning bitcoin, unless something major concerning the economy/stock market will affect bitcoin much.
