I just started researching pools, but I am still very confused. You send them the money. Can they scam the investors? I mean, they may not do it the first time, but once they get reputation and the big millions start coming in, they can just disappear with the money, instead of collecting small fees every time.
Is is a possible scenario?

Definitely do your research there are always scammers out there and the admins can run away with your money.  Good pools (some are out there) have accessible admins (by phone and/or email - not just telegram) and use a 3rd party escrow service for transparency.  I have participated in a few pools with good experiences, but all had those qualities.  Beware of the telegram only pools.  I am biased because my friends run it, but the 1035 Club is a solid pool.  Easy to get in touch with admins...use Primablock as an escrow on all deals.  Lots of info on their website - www.1035club.com and telegram - https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAE-vb9fdWs1DRnT9Aw.

try search ICO spreadsheet. you will find many ICO with the score given by reviewer.

Damn, I didn't know that there are a lot of ICO pools, I thought that there are just mining pools however, it looks like this is a very lucrative and attractive way to earn more money out of crypto.

But then again, just like those mining pools in the beginning, everyone is paying good dividends but at the end of the day, one by one they disappear and scam their investors. So I wouldn't advise specially newbies to try this one, don't be greedy and used your common sense and better judgement.

Is the ICO model still relevant?

So many rating sites exist today and the distributed exchange model seems to be the next wave of crypto assets entering the market.

I know this is a new industry forming and it has to go through a tremendous growth path to be able to reach recognition in the global economy. What will make the ecosystem come together and speak with one voice?
