Back in the days, it was quite popular to ico's use escrow services to gain trust of investors but no one using them right know. Actually, I did not know how they work completely. Is any bad instances happened? Why they are no longer offering that?

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

So far for bad instances has never ehappened (maybe). For how it works more or less the same as escrow on a regular transaction but there are some extras step(you can see on minexcoin ICO). And why a ico no longer offering that? Because i think some ico now just scam or They are confident that their project will be successful so no need to use escrow (Not all). Just be carefull and good luck!
