It depends on supply and demand of crypto market. Most of the altcoins are still under value because all the investors are looking trusted cryptocurrency so continuously investing same coin. But some peoples only buy the new altcoins this is the common parameter of price. The main reason is many new altcoins are shit coin so most of the investors are avoiding the new altcoin this is the actual parameter of altcoins.

look at the history and you may be able to answer your own question better. in the past few years there have been lots and lots of new coins and tokens released and you can see that majority of them were on top at some point and then died after a while because their "demand" is only speculative demand and that doesn't last forever as newer ones come along.

The future of all altcoins are highly dependent on the developers' activity and the strategy that they are adapting. Most successful and long lasting projects are those that have products that are continuously develop and not just applications that usually fade as time pass by.

It's a pity
Thats why I was taught to pay more attention to ICOs based on real things (realty, hardware etc.) Services and software can be easily closed and Devs disappear. Or may be I'm just too overcautious.
