Including the two new white paper that is being sent out for peer-review!!! They aim to upgrade the underlying technology of the XRP including making it a lot more decentralised.
I was pretty bearish on the XRP token. This is since that even though Ripple the company is making so many connections, banks that uses Ripple's services do not necessarily have to use the XRP token.
However, there were news also that Ripple is now finally stepping up to support their XRP token itself, to push for actual adoption of the token for their users of the Ripple network.
Disclaimer: I have just significantly pumped into XRP again upon hearing the news. So I am now holding some XRP once again, after having previously pulled out completely.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The price of the [XRP] token is still pretty low (while many other AltCoins that I have a position in have already rebounded after the correction yesterday). Just injected some more into my [XRP] position. XD **Fingers Crossed** I love the fact that they are subjecting their whitepaper to the rigorous peer-review process (following the footsteps of Cardano [ADA]), being a scientific researcher myself.

Ugh, ripple.
None of this changes anything, it's still a centralized company that is catering to banks. Basically, it is still taking the vision of Satoshi Nakamoto and using it to empower the very thing crypto is supposed to dismantle.
Finding use cases for the shittokens doesn't change the fact that the company themselves still owns a large percentage of them. Having the whitepaper peer reviewed doesn't change the fact that the company is run by centralized greedy corporates that are making services for centralized greedy corporates.
And comparing it to cardano? Cardano is a joke. No matter how scientifically peer reviewed it is there still is no working product. Yet, look at its market value. What if a restaurant in your city was the top restaurant with people going there but they served absolutely no food? yes, it is a fair comparison and it is crazy.

Not for a long-term investment, but waiting for it to get pumped in the shorter/near term at least.
Cardano already HAS an actual product. Its mainnet (BETA) was already out. Having their implementation being peer-reviewed is BIG, imo. It gives them a lot more credibility than any of the claims they make over those made by other cryptos.

Lots of news for ripple but mostly the same as in the past, and these news don't really effect ripple as much any more as people learn.

New account here, been following for some time and have been investing for 2 years now. It seems to me a lot of people have no clue what they are talking about and will pull anything out of their ass they can. Bank's will not die, they will integrated crypto into their systems over time making all crypto mainstream. Thanks to Ripple and providing the banks with xCurrent. If you have any idea about Ripple and their road map or whitepaper xRapid will be introduced down the road. Feel free to research and get a grasp on what's happening with the world economy before you make a fool of yourself and pull some random shit out of your asses. This whole anarchist fuck that banks bullshit is ridiculous and cardano does not have a working system yet. Bank's are here to stay no one ruined Satoshi's dream or whoever it may be. Times are changing, best to get a grip on yourself, and think before you make a post and really do your own research before have an "opinion", which everyone on the internet seem's to think they are entitled to.
Thanks Ripple for all of what you are doing. Already has a working system being implemented by actual users and not something up in the air.. get real. I do hold multiple coin's cardano is one based off of an assumption.
This is a general reply. Which I really could post on just about any thread here.

And I think the ripple is very promising for me. Western Union confirmed plans for experiments with ripple. We are working on the experimental implementation of xRapid. If the partnership of ripple with Western Union is successful, then I think 2018 will become very profitable for investors ripple.

Banks don't care about Ripple and don't want to use their coin. They only care about the software that runs it, but they're not going to use Ripple, which defeats any case that could be made for buying into XRP.

Do people really think banks will go with ripple whose devs own half of the supply themselves?

The statement that Cardano does not have a working product is inaccurate though. See this interview if you have time. I am completely sold by their vision, and a lot of unsubstantiated FUD that have been spread around the project have been dispelled. https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/cardano-founder-ada-will-better-btc-eth-1-year-interview/

Ripple also periodically burns XRP on top of that.
The XRP that the founders have mined are being held by an independent escrow, such that they can not sell them off all at once. The identity of the founders are also very well known and there are laws to prevent them from scamming their customers -- legal limits were also imposed by regulators on how much the founders can cash-out in one go too.

Do people really think banks will go with ripple whose devs own half of the supply themselves? People do, yes. But it's the same people that thought that BitConnect was legitimate.
