Download it from our website https://gincoin.io/ and simply install it over the previous version.

It's good practice to:
- take a backup of your wallet.dat file before the update;
- do a quick test transaction between your addresses after the update to ensure everything is ok with your wallet file.

I believe they can always do that later when they have time if they have their wallet backup file and password of their wallets, right?
I don't think that they won't have chance to update their wallet after the algo change to the new one, X16RT.

update GIN Masternode on my VPS went smooth. As for wallet on MacOS, had to delete all .dat files (except wallet.dat of course) to get peers from correct chain and start syncing. All is running 100% now.

Succesful change from old algorithm to X16RT and dPoW.
The new algorithm supports the Gincoin network better, and help it better both prevent potential replay attacks and fight against attackers who always try to dig deeper into weaknesses of Gincoin network to steal money.
The algorithm change also help GINcoin to stay with PoW. It's great, personally.

yeah, I did that and it fixed the problem... for now. Still lots of peers running old software maybe they cause the problem.
