With the shortage of GPU's I have been searching for alternative methods of sourcing units for a client (large farm) and have come across something that may be of interest to others.

This is a branded unit with the following spec

2u Chassis
Dual Xeon 4110 procs (need dual for all 8 PCI slots)
2 x 10GB NIC
2 x 16GB DIMM
redundant 2000w Titanium PSU's
8 X Zotac 1080TI GPU's
3 year Manufacturer warranty.

These are currently on a 6-8 week lead, I have a demo unit on order for my client so will be able to give a full review once I have in hand.

This is just a feeler to see if any of you would be interested in these units, MOQ will be 5 servers shipping from the EU, these are currently coming in @ $14K per build EX VAT

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

That is a little bit overkill Smiley

In my personal view i would not place "bigger" investment to any GPU miner right now.
There is rumors , news about a new ETH ASIC miner created by Bitmain. If that is become truth , this 14K++ mining rig is become obsolate by the time of delivery , the ROI can be between 2-4 years or more.

Yes you can say , there is another coins out there to mine , but you have to count  that 250 TH/s gpu mining power what we have on the ETH network right now ... Those miners with 250TH/s mining power going to move they miners to another coins ...

Ridiculously overpriced.  I don't know what type of "client" would blow $14k on 8 1080tis,  especially considering in 6-8 weeks we will be talking about Pascal, not Volta.  If someone was inclined to throw this much money at something like this, they could pick up one of these for under $5000:  https://www.supermicro.com/products/system/4u/4028/SYS-4028GR-TR2.cfm   Get 2 E5s off of ebay, a stick of memory, small ssd, and you are in business.  Pick up 8 Titan Xps and you are at $14k.

Or buy a $200 server case and add 4 Titan V's for the same price

that's all good and well - but how do you scale that out to deliver 200 units a month fella? also warranty is an issue for corporate clients, they would rather front load Cap ex and have a lower Op ex moving forwards.

you are aware how difficult it is to purchase 50 x 1080ti's right now - never mind 1600
