MOD NOTE:
Be careful when installing software from unknown sources

^^^ I totally agree with the mod note, and have uninstalled the software, and I recommend you to do so too!

For Reference:
Hey guys,

I know this is a duplicated post, but the thing is that the other posts are not updated (Some of the codes are expired) so I might as well post here...

Anyways go to http://bitgifts.net and install the google chrome extension...

Then once it is installed enter these promo codes:

1. uftyzn - 0.005 BTC
2. bitcointalk - 0.005 BTC

You can withdraw once you reach 0.03 BTC! Enjoy!

Did you not see the actual thread man?  Why the hell is everyone spamming this?

On coinchat especially.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299207.0

Shit - it can access ALL your data on websites...  Not safe, IMO, even if it was. :/

Actually, many extensions can access "your data on all websites".

Look here:

Wow, didnt even realize there was a original thread. Also to get onto the Chrome marketplace, your app must be tested thoroughly so it should be safe IMO...

WARNING

DO NOT INSTALL THE PLUGIN! I unpacked it and found that it contains code that tracks URL's, titles, and KEYSTROKES and sends them to their server.

This is probably a bad attempt on hacking!

Does anything even need to be said after this quote? Until we hear from the admin of the site, I wouldn't do anything.

Hmmm... Instead of that, I am going to file a claim to google and see what they have to say...

EDIT: There you go:

hopefully google won't take a long time.  It looks ok at the moment, but the admin isn't even active,  he/she is not answering any of these questions.  Plus, that official thread is closed for some reason.

Yea, never install anything that is claiming to give you free money, and if it does, it probably comes at a high price to you.

If you want "free" bitcoin you can place ads (from various reputable sources, q.v.) in your Bitcointalk signature. And you can grind out a few thousand satoshi at a time from those faucets, if that's your thing...
