I am selling two Radeon 5870s because I managed to buy 2 5970s to replace them.

My craigslist ad is here.  I would prefer a local sale but I am willing to ship.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/sys/2500929884.html

I have the original boxes they came in.

Will accept BTC for the cards at the higher of current spot price for dollars or 7 day moving average of BTC per $.

Example.  7 day moving average is $13 and current spot price is $12.  I will accept BTC for the cards at $12 per BTC.

Cash in person is preferred.

You are seriously smoking crack.  They sell for ~ 200 each used.  Maybe 220 (shipped) if they push a solid hashrate OCd.

The 5870 is a good card and all, but it's not worth THREE 5830's!  It's not even worth two.

You could have (2) 5830's from NewEgg *today* for $260, shipped. That's a hashrate of 550-600 MH/s.

Your 5870 can only DREAM of getting that kind of hashrate.

Those are Extreme Edition Sapphires. You will easily get 320 MH/card and not go over 85C. I usually hover around 75C with 80 degree indoor temperature.

Yes, but those are ongoing auction prices. To get a feel for the market, you need to login and look at "Completed Listings". Some of the ones you listed actually already sold:

267 with aftermarket cooler - http://cgi.ebay.com/XFX-ATI-Radeon-HD-5870-ACCELERO-Twin-Turbo-Pro-/120747425285?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item1c1d1b7e05
270 - http://cgi.ebay.com/SAPPHIRE-100281-3SR-Radeon-HD-5870-1GB-TOXIC-Edition-/250853897660?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item3a680eb5bc

I bought a used XFX 5870 recently for $250 including shipping (*EDIT* and I'm getting 447 MH/s from it at 1000MHz and it still runs super cool at 82C). 5830's seem to be a good deal, I was looking for more 5850's, but they are completely gone from the market.

Would $550 for the pair be reasonable?

I'll accept $550 for them.

More reasonable, sure. You should post pics of them with your forum name, the brand and heatware or other feedback.

That's a fair price as long as you ship the cards after you receive payment, its a very important step to ship the cards after someone has paid you.  Grin

Here's an XFX HD 5870 for $250:
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1623367

It's sold (to me) Cheesy

Also, Newegg is out of 5830's... So options are dying down out there.

datathe: if you're selling two cards, there should be some advantage for buying them together. So the price should be *less* than buying the two cards separately. $550 is borderline, but you can try. Hardforum is a good place to sell, but you may need some seller reputation first (ebay, heatware).

I'm happy to do a local drop off in Vancouver in person.  Also I can ship and I have an ebay profile with the same username with positive ratings.

If you're not in Vancouver and would like to buy I can put them on Ebay.  If you're in Vancouver, just email me.
