Hi Beano! I've tried researching Ripple and I don't see any benefits as opposed to the existing coins.
If I understand the concept correctly the biggest advantage is quick transactions.
A lot of businesses that accept BTC use 0 confirmations and some altcoins work faster so I dont see the need for this.
Can anyone else chime in on what other advantages of Ripple would be?

Welcome, Ripple has no advantage, it is centralized. Ripple fanboys use https://ripple.com/forum/

Check out the "alternate cryptocurrency" forum and scan for ripple threads. Check out ripple.com/forum. There is a lot of love and a lot of hate for ripple around here.
