Friedcat has been selling loads of blades in china and 100's of companies are now selling them.
Basically your asicminer blade is worthless Sad

http://asicminer-block-erupter-blades.com

I found 6 other sites , all the same price . . . BTC guild blades are to expensive .

Is it surprising that mining hardware drops in price quickly? It's the nature of the game. As the difficulty goes up, the NPV of each GH is going to drop.

PM me if you want to advertise on this signature.

You young 'uns! Back in my day (four loooooooong months ago) I paid 50BTC for mine!

(and that isn't even the worst bitcoin related decision I've made)

Just out of curiosity, how much have you recouped? I almost bought one of the first blades (75BTC) and would like to know it Smiley.

... almost ...

Damn, I was going to point and laugh at you. It would have been cathartic. But anyway I have recouped just over 25BTC. I expect to get another 3 BTC or so before the electricity costs start outweighing the mining return. Even then, I *might* continue mining just 'for the sake of the network', as I don't think the quarterly electricity bill would be too painful. Not like my GPU rigs with nine 5970's and two 5850's. Yuck!

I think if you did not make a fortune in the good old time like some of the large miners like gigavps, fefox, sailermin, bicoinminer and many other big ass miners who invested a massive fortune in hardware you better put the money in renting or buying
As i look at me last purchases i have hardly even used them at all and loose money on them before they came in.
Yes they came in yesterday and soon they leave the door again
The 200gh machine i bought by kncminer and the drillbit purchase is probably my last investment into buying hardware
Next year only the super rich, investment companies and asic builders will make money in the miner scene.
I expect the difficulty sky rocket now that bitfury has delivered and soon when kncminer starts delivering we see another massive jump
A 80% increase of difficulty per month will be met easily, that makes the new hardware absolete in like 6 months unless the price of btc goes up to make the losses less painfull.
But still with the super difficulties next year you must have insane power to get some profit and even with that you might not make your return on investment because a lot of rich investor allready mentioned going to mine with supercomputer size ( yes building size) miners with even in the Petahashes mining power

We the small hobby miners are no longer to keep up the slow transition to owned by the banks and investors again monetairy system

I am not sure how good is to buy them. It will take you 3 months with current difficulty to pay them off, but we all know that it will take much longer considering difficulty is rising.

with the difficulty change yesterday, an overclocked blade make  whopping .05BTC per day........that's almost 90 days for ROI without any more increases in difficulty......NOT LIKELY

If the difficulty would stay the same (it won't) then you'd break even in 69 days at the current price. I guess you paid more than BTC3 per blade. Undecided

I'm glad I started my ASIC experiment with a single asicminer usb...it's been educational and the tuition was modest.

Same here, even though the return has been quite marginal. It has been interesting. And at least you can say that you mined some Bitcoins to your grandchildren who will likely not believe you. Grin
