What is a stealth address and how does it work?
Simply put, it’s another step to securing you anonymity online. What happens is it makes it incredibly hard, if not impossible for people to track how you spend you $Onions. In layman’s terms the person requesting payment of $Onions creates a new wallet address which is only shared with the person making the payment to them. This new wallet address is really like a private key that the person making the payment will receive. the blockchain will have no true idea of who is receiving the payment.
Another way is for a unique address to be created, again no one will know the true destination (ownership) of the $Onions. Each person making a payment to one person, would receive a different wallet address.
The person making the payment cannot see other payments you have received, nor can they even identify you properly. Many people might be paying the same person, but this cannot be seen on the blockchain, as stealth addresses cannot be correlated together.
The person making the payment will know that the payment has been successfully sent and of course the recipient will receive their funds in $Onions. Everyone is happy.
