Why does the forum link on the main bitcoin.org site point to google instead of this forum?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I just noticed that too! This site still comes up first. The one advantage I can see is that the Bitcoin community will start spreading to other areas as well and become more diversified!

Seems like a good idea to me.
Let people realize that this forum isn't the only place to discuss bitcoin.
Frankly - there are aspects of this forum that are likely to harm the image of bitcoin and reduce uptake with merchants. The less this forum is seen as representing the entire community, the better.

Too libertarian for you? The fact is Bitcoin will always have these sentiments tied to it. There's no way around it.

I like it too. It helps newcomers see that there's no 'one entity' behind bitcoin. Multiple competing bitcoin forums is healthy.

Too libertarian for you? The fact is Bitcoin will always have these sentiments tied to it. There's no way around it. We never free a mind once it's reached a certain age. It's dangerous; the mind has trouble letting go. Seriously: There's no need to intermix politics with Bitcoin, especially not if your goal is widespread adoption.

Spreading bitcoin will achieve libertarian goal anyway.
Not to mention the fact that we will probably convert most of the world population to deflationary apologists.

Pointing to Google is a baby step towards de-emphasizing this current set of forums as "official" in any way, shape or form.
They are an embarrassment to anyone trying to help build and maintain a positive image for bitcoin, especially with merchants who may potentially adopt bitcoin in their businesses.

Yea I'm getting this also. It also states 'The experiment you're trying to access is no longer available. Go to experiments overview'
