I have question people send thier kyc for ico which are passport and other documents but should  we submit real document or fake???
In general, it is better not to join ICO campaigns that require bounty hunters to undergo a KYC check. However, if the team actually deceived the participants in the ICO generosity campaign and announced such a check after the end of the ICO, in order to make fewer payments to earned tokens, I think that it is possible to respond the same and send other people's data. In addition, you can not be sure that your data will not be published anywhere in the public place or even sold to criminals.
In addition, the requirement to pass a KYC test for participants in the ICO generosity campaigns is generally illegal, as we are not investors. This has already been recognized by some ICO teams and requires the passage of a KYC review only against investors.

i suggest you to submit true details with water mark like ""only **** ico" then they cannot use our details for another thing and you details are safe/ if you submit scam details you entry will be not accepted. so be aware of scam icos and submit original documents always. be sure to add watermark

I suggest you submit your true passport and original documents for your KYC. If they caught you falsifying your documents it is possible that they will ban you and you will not get your tokens or you cannot join into that particular ICO.

I think KYC verification is inevitable we will have to accept that kind of things in order for cryptocurrency to move forward. There are ways though to mitigate fraud and fear on giving our information, it is by ensuring that the site we will be submitting our info with is safe and secure. Also there are platform right now that handles KYC verifications, wherein you can have your information encrypted on their platform and submit it to any sites you'de like to participate with, one example of them is menlo.one.

Sounds like a brilliant way to keep your information safe especially when risking your money and identification on shady but promising projects.. When is Menlo One going live? Looks like it's not yet fully functional at this time.

I've never heard of an ICO marketplace before. Is Menlo One the first ever ICO marketplace created? All I know is that icobench and icorating, etc only review and rate ICOs.

I think that KYC is there for a good reason since we wouldn't want money laundering to flourish. I would never give out my personal information to shady ICOs though since they are not worth the risk... It's a good thing an ICO marketplace like Menlo one is launching soon since we will only be required to submit our IDs once making ICO investing very convenient.

in my opinion it's very normal because some ico for investors have to give kyc because with the existence of the ico founder, I can find out who the investors are to provide support and with the presence of ico's founders it can be safer because there are some countries that prohibit the circulation of ico.

When it comes to legalities then they would need to follow up on whats being said or required. If they need to restrict particular investors then they would need such KYC procedure.

KYC blah blah blah for avoiding money laundering yes it is true but its fully contrary why crypto is being created.

Of course, participants must send original documents. This is more necessary for the participants than for the team members. But personally, I always hate to send someone my personal documents, my personal data

it's obviously really documents, giving them fake documents is prohibited and  will cause you from getting to participate in such ico,  so it's best to provide original documents

We recommend that if we will follow an ico project that uses the KIKC system, it would be better if we have to think about it before we regret it or if you give up your data and save it for other things. anything.

Do not under any circumstance send your real data and documents over the internet.  If 80% of ICO's fail guess what happens to your data?  Sold for cash.  You are then a victim of identity theft.  Any project asking for KYC is not a real project and violates the main idea of crypto currency.

ico who uses KYC seems very terrible because it must provide identity and give your privacy to the founder of ico, I suggest you avoid such things, because that would endanger you.

I first send not real documents and if they are accepted, then I do not worry further, often many ICO do not even check the documents that are sent to them.

But what do you do if an ICO is asking for additional confirmations like selfies or even skype calls?

Of course it's better to use fake documents. Nobody can make sure that the documents submitted for consideration are real. It is better to buy these documents on the black market   Cheesy
