Why does everyone here invest? Lets be real...To make MONEY!! Its true....there maybe a few people who are die hard coin people who believe in the tech and want a brighter future in terms of currencies......but for 99% of people it is making money!! That's why it is hard for alot of people to jump in on the BTC bandwagon because its exploded and maybe a little to expensive for some people....finding a good ICO is hard....But dont worry about the tech.....worry about are they making a name for themselves.....is it easy to understand...and do other people believe.....thats how you make money...buy low and watch it grow!....

WinnerCoin is an alt coin I am keeping my eye on. They launch the ICO on March 12th and the WinnerCoin team has been all over Social Media killing it. They are launching the coin at .002 USD!!!! Thats insanely cheap...think about if you invest $1000 - $10000....and WinnerCoin hit's $1!!! Are you asking the question or want people to join that ICO? I'd like to answer that question. We are investing. What we want is of course money. If you want to raise the tech, you are not investing, you are developing. But now, some developer is also making money for creating ICO. If you want to support the tech, use ICO that have a real usage like for shopping etc.

I will still entertain your question. Most of us, have our own reasons why we are invested in this technology and I do not know

why we should chose? If you can make money and fill a need, by using this technology.... then you achieved your goal. Two

You are wrong in your assumption that they cannot go hand in hand. If you invest in something because you believe in it and the technology behind it, then the money will follow.

Find the projects that are revolutionary and have the best guys and ideas behind them and then you'll also find the ones that help you to earn a lot of money.

If you do not believe in the technology then you'll only lose money because you'll dump your coins at the first signs of a struggle and then you'll buy them back later at a higher price when you realise that you were wrong.

Of course the main reason to invest is to earn money. I only invest on projects that I think is worthy and has a great potential use in the future. Investing in ICO's is like helping them kickstart the project and if they became successful your your help will be paid of.

It's only logical to assume you invest in order to make money, or else you'd effectively be giving to charity and most people aren't in a position to do that. BUT... If you don't believe in the underlying technology backing up your investment then why would you invest, that would make your expectation for your investment negative.

It's entirely possible to do both; make money while helping along a new technology.

Crypto-currencies  and  the  underlying  technology will revolutionise more fields of knowledge than anyone can even begin to understand today and push humanity to new horizons and some of us will become incredibly wealthy in the process.

In response to the question in the topic of this thread, I would say that I am in bitcoin for both things. I see the potencial of the tech, and I hope it works well, and from that point of view I really don't care about the price. I prefer to make an international transaction using bitcoin, and I would also prefer to make online payments with bitcoin over other services, as soon as it becomes available. I would like to keep a big part of my economies stored in bitcoin instead of keeping them on a bank. For all of those things to be possible I will need a low volatility, at least similar to gold, and I will need fast transaction and low fees. For that to happen bitcoin needs to evolve, and I will gladly hold my coins and wait for that.

On the other site, I'm also trying to make money with it, because right now bitcoin, and crypto in general, offer great trading opportunities, and there is not point in letting that slip away.

As for the quote I made from your post, I would say that it prevents me from enjoying what you are promoting. If a project is only concerned about making money, without any strong fundamentals to support it, then on best case scenario it's a bubble, and it will end badly. I don't invest in those projects.

I think when it comes to investment, people invest to make profit which is MONEY in turn. I don't think there's anyone that goes into an investment just to loose money. As for me i invest in these coins to make MONEY...

I wouldn't play clean, I came here mainly for the money but have learned that the tech will play a vital role in the years to come. For months now, I've been reading about the possible implications of blockchain in real world situations, especially on how will it change the norms specially in banking and finance. The applications would be immense, specially in the field of automation, that's why companies, banks and the governments are gearing towards the development of their own blockchain-powered systems.

Right now I'm glad to be a part of a revolution while making some money on the side and nope, wouldn't buy your altcoin.

There are so many people always talking about their love with technology and they are claiming they are in bitcoins only for the reason to support technology and all that. Why not both? Answer for me is both. In real markets its all same with companies. People invest because they wanna make money and they wanna see that company becoming successful. So coins are growing, its fun to watch, more fun to make money at the same time.
