I have built a dozen computers in my life and always used a ATX PSU, Never a Server PSU. I never been around a server yet. Iam just a PC gamer/Miner.

Anyway's i have a few questions?

First What is a good Server PS? I want one for X7 RX 570's, Would a 1200W Server PSU be enough?

Also, on these Server PSU's Do i need to run 220V to get above 1000W output ? What is the Amp limit on 110V ? I know my circuit breaker is 15A for 110V. So does this mean i can run only one 1200W=12A on this circuit breaker ? " Leaving 3A's for other stuff like TV,Fans,Lights,ETC

Finally which breakout board is recommended and Pico ATX adaptor?

I want to run everything off the server PSU, Also my CPU needs a 8-pin CPU plug, All i seen on the ATX pico Adaptors was a 4 pin Cpu, Would i just need a 4pin to 8pin cpu adaptor ?

volts x amps = watts

110v plug x 15amp breaker = 1650watts

80% rule, so 0.8 x 1650 = 1320. you can safely pull about 1320 watts from your wall socket.

hp 1200 watt psu is golden. you can get them on ebay. you will need breakout boards, and pcie cables

the hp 1200watt platinum psu will pull 900w at 120v or 1200w at 220v. so at your wall plug, you could pull upto 750ish watts from a 900w psu. 80% rule.

as far as pico psu, it depends on the motherboard. i used asrock h110pro btc 13gpu motherboards. they require tow molex wires to power it on top of the 24 pin atx and cpu power. on my z270 boards, which i dont use anymore, the pico with a single 4 pin cpu cable was working for the celeron processors g3900 and g3930. but i have since switched over to g4400 processors, which dont seem to work with a single 4 pin cpu power cable. trial and error i suppose, but thats for you to do.

my favorite breakout board is from a brand called ithoo. you can get them on ebay for 15-20$, and have never gotten a dud. i feel that parallel miner is WAY over priced, unless youre buying in bulk. and still mildly over priced.

your safest bet is to pick up some cheap bronze rated 400-500w atx psus in the 50$ range to power just your mobo. power your cards and risers with the server psus.
