DONATION ADDRESS:
Bitcoin: bc1qfeedch80zxged6apxyknugt67e47nsw00tpguu

Historical Addresses: (Can still use if your wallet is not segwit compatible)

Bitcoin: 1food14NCLas1FssyKnf2MgGZcwUFRKXE
CLAM: xGyiXkSUzGLmaCYr9FtnEALGzx1RdvKTXc

How it works:
1. You send at least 0.01 BTC to the donation address.
2. I wait until it reaches 1640 PHP or about 40 USD (fiat equivalent.) *edit* I will probably wait until there is at least a whole bitcoin, regardless of exchange rate.
3. I change the BTC to PHP through local traders here.
4. I buy and donate 1 bag of VitaMeal.
5. I take a picture of the bag (if there is one available on the spot), and the receipt, post here.
6. Go back to step 1.

The "goal" is for me to get enough donations on average at least 30 bags a month, or enough to feed 30 children a month every day.

There is no upper limit.

If I don't reach my goal after two months, this isn't really going to work.

We are deeply troubled that every day more than 15,000 children around the world are dying from malnutrition. NSE, through Nourish the Children, wants to be a powerful force in saving children’s lives. Scientists worked hand-in-hand with Dr. Ken Brown of the University of California, Davis, an expert in child malnutrition, to formulate VitaMeal. An ideal solution for malnourished children, each VitaMeal contains a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber. VitaMeal also provides essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense. Including 25 essential vitamins and minerals essential for normal sight, immune functions, growth, and skeletal development, each donation of this nutrient-dense VitaMeal mix provides a child with 30 meals of nutritious, delicious food.

Five million children die each year from malnutrition and starvation. Our goal is to nourish millions of children every day. Our alliance with Feed The Children and other qualified agencies plays an important role in making this possible.

The Nourish the Children® initiative has helped to fight world hunger by supporting projects in countries all over the world, including Malawi, Indonesia, China, Philippines, Haiti, Iraq, Guatemala, and Romania. Just days after the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, a 747 aircraft carried packages of VitaMeal to the victims. Over 1.5 million meals were routed to the area within a month. VitaMeal is now being produced at 2 new plants in China & Malawi, providing not only jobs and economic development to the people, but also nourishing food.

Customers and distributors are invited to voluntarily donate a portion of their purchases through Nourish the Children to Feed The Children, an independent charitable organization that delivers the food donations to malnourished children around the world without charging a single penny. With the continued help of individuals from around the world, we will help save the starving children around the world. Be a part of the relief effort.

About the Force for Good Foundation

Our mission is to improve the lives of children by offering hope for a life free from disease, illiteracy, and poverty.

About Nourish the Children

It is easy to Nourish One More Child.

Purchase and donate one more bag of VitaMeal each month and encourage a friend to do so.

About Feed The Children

Feed The Children is an international, nonprofit relief organization with headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disasters. During its 29-year history, Feed The Children has created and developed one of the world's largest private organizations dedicated to feeding hungry people. Feed The Children is consistently ranked as one of the 10 largest international charities in the U.S., based on private, non-government support.

About VitaMeal

Scientists collaborated with a leading expert in child malnutrition to develop VitaMeal. One bag of VitaMeal holds 30 child-sized meals—enough to provide one nourishing meal a day to a child for a month.

Malnourished children are missing KEY NUTRIENTS in their diets, which can hinder brain, bone, and immune system development. Most humanitarian food consists mainly of grain, such as corn, but may lack other essential nutrients necessary for HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT.

VitaMeal is SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR MALNOURISHED CHILDREN or family use and produced by a company with extensive experience in nutrition. Working with an expert in child malnutrition in third-world countries, they developed VitaMeal to provide:

  • A balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber
  • Essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense
  • Electrolytes necessary for maintaining normal fluid balance and muscle function
  • 25 essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A for normal sight and immune functions, as well as nutrients for normal growth and skeletal development

VitaMeal is vegetarian and non-dairy, and allows for the easy addition of ingredients to fit every taste and culture. Each VitaMeal package contains 30 child-sized meals, or enough food to provide a child with one nutritious meal each day for a month.

About Dabs

Dabs has been a distributor of VitaMeal and an Ambassador of the Force For Good Foundation / Nourish The Children Initiative for the past 9 years, and has been accepting donations and contributions from locals for the purpose of distributing food through charity partners to feed malnourished children in the country and around the world.

Dabs has realized that he can accept donations for the same purpose from the rest of the world through bitcoins.

Dabs will use all 100% bitcoin contributions to purchase VitaMeal which in turn will be used to feed starving and malnourished children.

Some Questions:

Q: How severe is the malnutrition problem in the world?
A: According to UNICEF, ”Every day, on average more than 26,000 children under the age of five die around the world, mostly from preventable causes... In up to half of under-five deaths an underlying cause is under-nutrition, which deprives a young child’s body and mind of the nutrients needed for growth and development.” (State of the World’s Children 2008) If only a small percentage of the population was willing to contribute two meals per day, millions of lives could be saved.

Q: Can donors designate where their donations will be distributed?
A: Charity partners own and control the VitaMeal donated to them and ensure that the proper personnel and infrastructure exist for distribution. It would not be feasible or responsible for them to send small quantities of food to every destination indicated by donors.

Q: What's in it for you Dabs? You don't get any money?
A: That is correct, 100% of funds (Bitcoins converted or exchanged to Philippine Peso) goes to purchasing and donating. I'm in it for the 15 seconds of fame since your donations will course through me. Every year, there is a recognition seminar from the foundation and organization, and I hope to go up the stage and say I was responsible for feeding hundreds or thousands of starving children. I'm supposed to get a pin which I can stick on my shirt.

Q: All you want is a stupid pin?
A: Yes, I don't need your money. The pin is bragging rights. That, and kids will love you all (and me.)

Q: What else does Dabs do?
A: As a member and Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I also regularly participate in disaster relief efforts, search and rescue missions, medical, dental and engineering civil-military operations, free haircuts, free circumcision, feeding programs and other outreach type activities. We interact with local government units to host and sponsor these events.

I also get to drive a tank, fire a cannon, jump from the top of a building, dive to the bottom of the sea, shoot a coin from half a mile away, do martial arts, and run almost naked in pitch black darkness dodging bullets.

Dabs is a graduate of the Special Forces School, The Armor School, Naval Special Operations School, and Field Artillery Gunnery. He is the Psy Ops Team Leader for the Las Pinas Unit, 1st Civil Military Affairs Group, Civil Military Affairs Brigade, AFP Reserve Command.

He is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines - Institute for Small Scale Industries.

He is married, with 2 children, and will keep your bitcoins safe or use it for a good cause.

Q: You are in the Reserve Force?
A: Yes. I do not take a salary from my military service. I do it part-time or when there is some natural calamity happening such as typhoons, floods, storms, earthquakes or other acts of God.

Q: Where do you make your money Dabs?
A: I am employed by a company that makes clothes. I am in the accounting department and am in charge of the payroll of more than 180 people. They get their salary from me. I push buttons. I am not rich, but I am comfortable.

Q: So, this is not a scam or ponzi? You won't disappear to some tropical country?
A: Yes, this is legit. I already live in a tropical country.

Q: Are there videos about this feeding thing?
A: Here,

P.S. Here is a picture of me, from another thread. This is in 2009 when I got married.

On the right pocket (left looking at me) is a rifle sharpshooter badge under my name plate.
On the left pocket (right looking at me) are the light armor badge and the field artillery badge.
The yellow egg looking badge is Special Forces.

I am certainly in favor of your cause.  However it is sadly an oversold and often scammed sector, so I think you need to work on your presentation.

To the untrained eye, this might look like a trained killer named after hash oil, who performs ritual genital mutilation but won't show you his face or real name, who wants to use your donation to first support a massive for profit company called Nu Skin enterprises.

I've been google'd before. The domains I own are listed under my real name and real address. The illusion of being hidden, isn't strong with some investigation. I just pretend to be anonymous but can't really be anymore. The name Dabs is taken from my real name, and not related to any plant or oil.

Nu Skin Enterprises has been around for almost 30 years, is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and did this project or initiative as part of it's corporate social responsibility.

In 2010, Nu Skin was listed among Forbes "100 Most Trustworthy Companies". Nu Skin maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Overhead and administrative costs for the Force for Good Foundation are paid for by Nu Skin, ensuring that all donations made to the Force for Good Foundation go directly to those receiving aid. The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation is based in Provo, Utah and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States.

Everything else in the first post is true.

If you think I need to explain some more things, let me know. Some times, it's not just the company, or the group, but the individual. In this case, it's me. While the industry may have a lot of rotten eggs, that is not representative of everyone else.

I come from, and live in a country full of corrupt government officials, as one reading or watching the news can clearly see. However, I hope that that association does not reflect negatively on what I am trying to do.

Rice (45.3%), Lentils (35%), Rice Flour, Canola Oil (with Antioxidant - BHA), Seasoning Blend (Maltodextrin, Salt, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Dehydrated Vegetables [Onions, Celery, Parsley, Spinach, Garlic, and Carrot], Potato Flour, Thickener ((Xanthan Gum), Emulsifier [soy lecithin]), Anticaking agent (Silicon Dioxide), Flavour enhancers [Disodium Guanlyate, Disodium Inosinate]), Vitamins (Vitamin A, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Pantothenic acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin D), Minerals (Calcium, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc).

Plain rice = no real nutrients, yes, they will not go hungry, but they will end up severely malnourished. You could feed starving sailors on a lost ship leather. They'll get more from the rats running around.

Instant noodles = the type of feeding program a typical politician does to get the votes he needs for the election coming up next month.

ok so its a really good bag of rice.

what about the old saying.
"give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."
why can't these people be organized to provide from themselves?

I never donated to any of these things, because I tought it was scammy thing, where only 50-10% of the money actuly got to the needy people. It would seem you are legit, and i feel comfortable most of my donation will actually reach these people, i'm considering donating a bags worth.

If i do, can you write a small message on a white piece of paper and take a picture of the kid holding the bag and message?

Its getting late, i'll do this tomorrow.

If a man can fish, he should. If they can't, because they have problems trying to fish, ... I dunno. Many of these children are born into poverty, grow up with no formal education, and can't fish unless their parents were fishermen.

As for the message, I don't have direct contact with the children that end up receiving the bags. I will see what I can do at the time I purchase a bag. I have been in some of the actual feeding activities in my country.

As for whatever you send in bitcoins, 100% (not most, but ALL) of it will go to purchasing the bag, then having it go through the proper channels. I will try to take a picture of the bag, but unfortunately I'm not sure I can take a picture of the kid holding the bag yet, until I actually go to where those bags go.

I'll see what I can do about that, maybe I can find out their next schedule and attend one of them. Most of what's happening right now involve rains and floods (and the corrupt politicians stealing billions, literally).

so forget fishing, have them farming. the idea is to teach them how to organize themselves so they are self sufficient. not hand them a bag a food and pretend you made a difference. all it takes is good organization.

As for the message, I don't have direct contact with the children that end up receiving the bags. I will see what I can do at the time I purchase a bag. I have been in some of the actual feeding activities in my country.

how can you be sure any of the money actually gets to the children?
I cannot send a donation, until i'm sure the kids are actually benefiting and not some fat grown man.
do you really have to respect a schedule? these kids are hungry all the time, just buy the bags and bring it to them yourself.
as far as i can tell this is another scam, you just don't know it.
if you can, you should collect the bitcoins, and promise to deliver the food yourself and take many pictures of the kids cooking and eating it.
if you can do that, everyone would see the direct see the impact their small donation had, and they would probably donate more.
no one is sending donations because this just looks like a typical scam.

a third of a bitcoin ($40) gets you one bag of rice and lentals/maize and soya bean?

dang.... i can go onto the nuskin website and it quotes me (converting from local fiat) 5 bags for 2 thirds of a bitcoin.... plus with thier matching promotion they add on an additional bag.. giving a total of 6 bags for 0.66 BTC.

so now im going to dig deeper to see if nuskin actually do deliver 6 bags as promised to those in need. if so, then Dabs needs to rethink his 'good cause' as somewhere along the line his money he requests does not result in the same amount of packs outcome.

edit:
nuskin do have actual factories and do make the food, giving people employment in what they call the worlds poorest area's. still digging into the finances and costs to see how much of the donated funds ends up in peoples mouths

Quick reply. I'm out in the mountains during weekends so patchy internet here. I will quickly address these concerns.

@adam, fishing applies to farming, meaning the same idea. They can't. Not because they don't want to, but because circusmstances prevent them from even trying. They have no choice. Really.

@franky1, I'm in the Philippines. The price I get the bags are Php 1640. There is a corporate matching program, but need minimums to activate them, like 5 bags, 8 bags, etc.

I will try to explain in more detail later when I get back.

Here is an old article (dated 2008) about a religious ministry that uses this same Vitameal for it's own feeding programs: http://opinion.inquirer.net/inquireropinion/letterstotheeditor/view/20080920-161780/Vitameal-has-no-dehydrated-veggie-mix

And a matching video on youtube of their program in action, dated 2011:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW2oupDhlU4

The last time I was physically present in one such activity with the actual bags and with lots of children was way back in 2004 or 2005, but I have no photos or videos of anything then.

What I can try to do is go back on at least one actual mission with the bags.

To put this in perspective, here are pics of an activity of my unit done last year (2012) in a local school. It is called Brigada Eskwela (School Brigade) and here we repaired some busted tables and chairs, cleaned the the place, cut some overgrown shrubs and trees, and other stuff.

Working on tables and chairs:

With me in the picture:
Notice the scuba on top of my branch of service (Air Force) and the tank patch on my pocket flap.

With me in the picture and some kids (these are NOT the starving ones, these are students):

After the event with school officials and administrators:

And my as of then, unsigned certificate of participation:

So you can see where I get the nickname Dabs from.

I will delete all these pictures and this post next month (or when I remember to do so.)

The unit does all sorts of humanitarian missions, we are all essentially volunteers, most are actually helpful and hard working. Some are in it for the firearms (they're always around), since all members get exemptions from gun bans while on duty; and we are effectively on duty the entire year.

In the picture above is a chaplain (with rank of Captain), he is a pastor in his church.

So what I'm trying to say is that I'm legit. The charities I mentioned are legit but I do not have photo evidence other than what I posted. Nu Skin is a legit for-profit company with it's own corporate social responsibility, yes they make money but the food itself goes to whereever it should go. Feed The Children is legit. The nuns are legit.

The children who are the beneficiaries are legit.

I do not know when I can actually go out again on a mission since the last time I did was several months ago, since I'm now occupied by work and family stuff, so I thought I'd collect the coins, buy the bags, then donate it to these orgs that have people that do this all day.

Here is where I will order and pay for the bag.
https://www.nuskin.com/content/nuskin/en_PH/products/pharmanex/vitameal/24113523.html

But I will do it in person at a walk-in-center near my area.

What I can promise to do for this first donation of 1 bag is to take a picture of me and the bag and the receipt. I'll try to coordinate and actual feeding activity one of these days, but I would need a minimum of enough bags to feed maybe 300 children in one day, or else it's much better to donate the bag to Feed The Children Philippines and let them do their job.

Again, I wanted to be a conduit for this since I can accept bitcoins and none of these charities do. I do not want to be in the actual activity since that is not my full time job; I will join one or some of them, but not all of them.

On a related note, I can probably start another bitcoin donation program specifically for my unit (all our medicines are donated, the doctors perform their "pro-bono" work.) particularly for the medical and dental missions, tree planting missions, house building missions, disaster missions. Those, I will personally attend because that's what I've been doing more often for the past so many years.

That and I get to carry (for you US 2nd amendment lovers out there.)

well done dabs, i do like these causes where we can see the men-on-foot, doing the charitable work. and showing how the funds are used.

what i dont like is such schools proclaiming they need financial support, but find out later the school master has a new car.

*

so i would truly prefer schools receive labour, supplies as oppoose to finances. so this is why im starting to like your idea of food provisions or labour for such projects instead of financial aid which other charities try begging for.

the idea of taking one trip every 6 months to hand out 300+ meals is a good plan, as it cuts down on logistical costs like travel, room and board if you were to make regular trips. its just a shame you do not live near a 'needy' area to have kept logistical costs down to be their to hand out the food as soon as donations arrived. much like seans outpost does. they are there right on the frontline everyday.

* the car may not belong to the school master, it's just an example of a possible result of just handing 'the needy' finances and hoping they would use the money wisely.

uh... that's my car. I used to take the bus to these missions, but I have a car where the company I work for pays my gas. So I used it. It's a Hyundai Accent, so it doesn't consume much, very good mileage.

And before someone says I'm using other people's gas money ... the boss knows I do this. They pay my gas and toll for all my trips.

Even told me to go get promoted to Captain already (I'm *only* a Second Lieutenant, for the past 10 years, Technical / Master Sergeant before that.) But I told him, you won't let me go, I have to attend these things more often before I get promoted.

Unlike, Manny Pacquiao, the boxer, got commissioned as Lieutenant Colonel (from Master Sergeant) just because he is now an elected congressman. He is one of those few politicians who gives away his own money instead of getting from government coffers to stuff his own.

I support your cause, but why don't you just raise money for a well known NGO?
I do believe you, but sending btc is kinda irreversible, and it is a sensible matter of trust
