EtherDelta is dead, long live the ForkDelta

I often traded on ED, but now I do not trade there. it's buggy, and I'm sick of it. as for another exchange, I do not trade it yet. maybe later I'll start, but now I'll bypass it.

I think most of the etherdelta users are now using forkdelta though. In my opinion forkdelta is better than etherdelta, also from the twitter we can see that forkdelta admins are more active than etherdelta, also I love the logo more lol. But either forkdelta or etherdelta, both are not a really good exchange in my opinion. I prefer IDEX to be honest, but IDEX right now sucks also, the minimum amount for withdrawal and selling is really annoying in my perspective (i used to sell my leftovers there).

Both exchanges work. But it seems to me that ForkDelta works a little faster than EtherDelta. But this is a minor difference. I use both.

So true. It's working much faster than ED for me, as well. But, I still use the ED for placing orders sometimes. Since platforms use the same smart contract, this is still possible.

Never tried EtherDelta thanks to all the complaints I started seeing, and definitely not going to try ForkDelta as I suspect this will go the same route as ED. People need to realize that the ETH network simply cannot handle the stress of trading, when it is already struggling with all those collectible crypto games. Psst, time to move on to Waves platform guys. Quick and fixed fee so you all don't need to worry about gas price.

Etherdelta exchange is still alive but seem like nobody wanna this worst exchange anymore cause they don't want their ETH wallet hacked . If it were before, I think people would keep using ETD because it's the only decentralized exchange but for now I think they won't cause we have ForkDelta now

Surely they have the same API. But still, etherdelta was pretty good to trade half year ago, and now it's absolutely unreal, how do people trade there, or they are using the bots..

Yes, probably only bots looking for a price difference in comparison to other exchanges or for some inexperienced users to place an order with unrealistic price. I've seen many times that such orders get executed within a few seconds.

I used Etherdelta before for several weeks last year and I would say it is very slow, you are forced to increase gas to make transactions work, interface like it came from an 90's site, and also the way to pull up new coins is abysmal at least. I took out all my coins there and back to my wallet for safekeeping.

Ether Delta most reputed ether based erc20 exchange is struggling now we are going to see forkdelta is on rise and coinbase too coming up with erc20 tokens in their wallet which is good sign for all of us

I agreed with what you said cause idex seems to be the best ethereum token exchange site and for the fork delta who know maybe the people that own the hacked etherdelta are the same owner of the forkdelta cause there template look the same.

I hope Etherdelta’s not dead yet but if it is then I also hope the coins listed on Etherdelta are also found on Forkdelta or hopefully they will be listed there soon.

Well, forkdelta and etherdelta are own by the same person if you ask me and I wonder why still rate the forkdelta over etherdelta while it follow the foot step of the hacked ether delta.

I think both of them have died and will not be using them again, I hear there are many problems there and many of my friends have lost their assets when import private key there. so pathetic.

Yes they are both the same and we can easily tell it because their sites names are verry simillar to each other. And i dont think etherdelta is dead because id still access it and i still traded my tokens thru it on the past days . I dont also tried to use forkdelta but if there were problems in etherdelta , i may then try to use forkdelta as an alternative so that i can still trade my coins .

I suggest youd better try etherdelta because this exchange is also good when it comes to trading or buying alts and tokens due to the fact that it is decentralize which means all transactions are automatic without human supervision for a better and faster processing.

Ed is also known to be the first trading platform that accepts ico coins to be listed on their exchange as when compared to other.

Etherdelta are struggling with issues from two weeks and aren't reacting at all.

Today Coinmarketcap.com changes EtherDelta with ForkDelta in their Market list tab. This will cost EtherDelta most of the remaining traffic.

What do you think? Is ED dead now or they will recover eventually?

I think it's something that was already coming, because since the emergence of IDEX there is no way to compare the functionality and efficiency of one platform and another. In fact just take a look at the tab "markets" in coinmarketcap to see that in the matter of tokens erc20, IDEX is monopolizing the market, while EtherDelta has simply stopped appearing.

Etherdelta had management problems early in the year,  and I think that has been resolved.  Another problem that plague Etherdelta was the lagging and very slow trading platform that Etherdelta was running and it really wore so many people out.  I think Etherdelta is better now!
