Bitcoin Private BTCP is an upcoming hardfork of Bitcoin and Zclassic (which is essentially ZCash without the founders reward tax) BTCP boasts itself as answering the cry for adding much needed security to the blockchain. I briefly review Zclassic ZCL and Bitcoin Private BTCP and then guide you on how to setup the ZCL Electrum Wallet in order to be prepared to secure your "free" Bitcoin Private BTCP after the hardfork snapshot date!

I have never participated in a fork before. I have about half a bitcoin sitting on exchange (which I know many think is not safe). However, I use it with a bot (profit trailer) to make trades all day long. I guess without knowing what bitcoin private will be worth it is hard to answer this question....

I wonder if it would be worth it to pay the fees to send the bitcoin from the exchange to a wallet.....then back from the wallet to the exchange....will the value of bitcoin private be worth it?

I guess I am answering my own question...obviously if its valued high it will be worth it...if it is not it will not be. I like the combination of both coins... so quick question...

1. Do you have a guess what it might start at in value? I know its just a guess...just wondering your opinion.

2. Would you eat the fees to move it twice to participate in the fork?

Thank you

Id estimate its probably worth it, if it does well + you don't -> you'll kick yourself if it doesnt itll probably be worth enough to recoup your fees

But if your fund is in the exchange then you can't use the fork can you? Exchanges don't give you the money for most forks.

Fees is high for most exchanges and it will take some mining fees too.

Hello there,

That might be a dumb question but... I've got to know.

Am I still able to claim BCPT if I've bought ZCL before the snapshot but I've only transferred it to my desktop wallet today?  Huh

You would have to claim it from where it was before aka if it was on bittrex they would need to credit you for it.

I was credited for my zcl and didn't have much btc in acct so unsure and never really followed up on it otherwise -- did you ever get your btc credit

they aren't required to do anything really, thats why its recommended to hold coins in your own wallets and not theirs O_o

I had bitcoin in Kucoin, they gave me BTCP but I can not neither withdraw nor trade it. It is below 1.0 btcp and it does not allow me for selling. Withdraw is unavailable and it is not clear when it will be.

This is another reason why Kucoin is useless as an exchange
