This is for a project...

Does anyone care to estimate the amount of unspent BTC dust that is left on various exchanges, gambling sites, online wallets etc.

For example, on BTC-e I have:

Balance: 0.00367673 BTC

It would be a great help if people could speculate on how much this might add up to.

So maybe it's not technically dust.

thats not dust.. thats 4 feathercoins you can buy with that and then use them elsewhere

how long dos it need to lay in an exchange and the user not being online before the owners are allowed to take it Huh 5 years more ??

Never, unless they tell you before you entrust your bitcoin with them.
