for me finding good bounty is most difficult part of bounty hunting. everything else can be automated. but digging through piles of garbage ICOs can't

There are telegram groups that focus on announcing good bounties, you could look for those. I can't give a link though as I'm not in any.

There is a good method. You could review the spreadsheets of Crypto influences. Select best grades and find bounties for those icos.  The other way is just using some special websites which keep records of them - icodrops.

What I usually do is go to websites dedicated to ICO ranking (like ICOrating.com or ICObench.com) and look for the upcoming ICOs. I check on the high-ranked ones and then verify if they have a bounty program, I think that's a good way to know whether an ICO will be succesful and subsequently, its bounty program or if it's gonna be a complete failure and subsequently, its bounty program as well

yes, it is very difficult to choose a good and legit ICO. but a few steps to prevent scanning ICO, you should first observe the project and track record of the developer team.

Better check the bounties in the.bounty thread sectiob so you can choose the bounties you want to join so you can assess it by yourself which bounty is good or not. Or choose a  bounty handled by well known and  trusted campaign managers here in bitcointalk.

Since you are a newbie, you have to also check whether you are eligible.
Like what most people say, choose a good project to participate in just like how you would when investing in ICO.
There are many types of bounties, so join one where your strength lies.

Do any of the bounty lists or bounty review sites show a calculation of the maximum potential $ you could get from the bounty (at current token prices)?  To me, that's one of the biggest factors in whether I'm interested and takes some time to figure out.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on Pre-ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

ICO recommendation today is kinda hard to grasp in just a mere look. But I suggest that you look further into it, their announcement thread, bounty thread, whitepaper, their facebook pages and twitter pages, telegram channel and groups. Be keen enough to observe whats the platform of that ICO are. Anyways most of the ICO's here were legit, some wins, some scams Smiley

Republic protocol is interesting, would be profitable they have many reputable investors, I don't have information about ico, I've just read the project on a blog.
