Hey - been a lurker forever ... registered an account a while ago and just never got around to posting, now I need to send a PM but apparently can't do so until I post a substantial message and wait four hours, so, awesome.

Anyway, bitcoin's awesome - been mining a while, and am stoked to get my hands on some KNC gear.

So, hopefully this is enough text and I'll be able to carry on with my day.

Willing to summarize the entire KNC thread in 500 words or less for tips.

Ta-da!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hm, what do you plan to mine on?  Mining on bitcoin will be a bit hard, due to the increase in difficulty.

Yeah, difficulty is exponentially growing.
Every 2016 blocks, it increases by a factor of 1.4...

Welcome... Mining is becoming less and less profitable... Just have to wait for the next technology breakthrough!
