Hello and welcome. The first thing you will learn is that mining has become highly specialized and will require money, time, and equipment. You might find it more cost effective to sell stuff for bitcoins, or even buy and hold. In any case, there are a lot of cool bitcoin projects going on right now.

Welcome! Faucets take a LONG time to generate anything real from. There are some good giveaways in the gambling forum -- maybe you can run it up!  You can offer goods/services for bitcoins. You could write for devtome and spend the devcoins or trade them for bitcoins.
