you'll never recover your money from all ASIC being shipped today. ASIC are only good for the people selling them. Think how many thousands of ASICMiner eruptors were sold at 2 BTC. Those people will never recover their money, but the people selling them are still laughing on their way to the bank. If you want to buy a ASIC to run as a hobby fine. If you're thinking in making money forget it
what about 1 year ?

Do the calculations man. It's simple math. What model processor/GPUs are you looking to buy? See what others have reported their hash rates to be. Figure out your total hash rate and use a profitability calculator to figure out how much you will make per day. Divide that amount into the total amount of money you want to spend on your rig and you will have figured out how many days ROI will take. But I can tell you, spending $3,000 on computer to be used for mining sounds like you are being ripped off or not building it yourself (Unless you are getting some bad ass GPUs). I highly suggest buying the parts separately and building the rig yourself as you will save a lot of money doing that. Just my two cents. I hope my message didn't convey a sarcastic or negative tone. I was merely trying to say that there are ways of figuring our ROI without having others do the math for you

Try Playing with different rigs at http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/467edee567You can change electricity price cost and hash rates when you start mining etc this is free power BTC always goes up 2% a month a 0% fee pool just about everything is going your way and it still never pays off. on the other hand I thinks its more fun that soda popcorn and a movie and cost less at full price.

Not everyone is getting to ASIC but buying a share to buy an ASIC that's it! Look at the Group Buy section.

Those are the one that are making a killing on Bitcoins. Every ASIC on the market WILL NEVER MAKE ROI!!!!! Stay away from pre-order ASICs, you will be ripped off and fill the pockets of techno thief's.

Or normal rig ?
ASICs are only good for the people selling them. The current on the market have no ROI, the future will have no ROI once they start shipping Yes they have a ROI, but a negative ROI. If you are going to use basic finance terms, at least learn what they mean: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/returnoninvestment.asp

Thus positive ROI I cant rule out

Bitfury-based ASICs do have a positive ROI. At least they did at the beginning of this month. I remember the times when there was a preorder on them and the price was 2000$ for 120Gh\s. If I only knew that the guys deliver, I would definitely order one or two of them back then. Now it's probably too late to do that.
There's still a possibility, though, to buy some Bitfury chips and PCBs and do the soldering on your own.

explain please , also im a qualified micro components electrician so please explain why Asic is no good ? Nothing to do with the tech. Buy one at $30 start mining get a few mBTC over time difculty goes up to the point you are making .00000001 BTC a week. Total value of BTC mined at that point $17.00. So you paid $30 to get $17. That is not good. So you paid $30 to have fun playing with drivers, mining programs and chatting on boards like this. And you get paid back $17 that is good.

Mine litecoins with gpu and mine bitcoins with asic on same machine. There will not be any quick profits any more unless you can get the newest asic miner before everyone else to have the advantage in hash power. Since we are on the noob boards it probably wont happen.
