So I have been looking for ICO's recently that I feel actually have a service or product they are actually building. Given the recent issues with YouTube, and there advertisers and the way their algorithms work, I think it is long past due that there be some alternatives, and it makes sense to put that on the block chain. The big draw for me was no ads. I use ad blockers myself, but I know that's how a ton of content creators get paid is through ad revenue. Patreon has scooped up a lot of this revenue from content creators, but they recently got into some hot water due to their idea of pushing fees onto the patron's. They pulled back on this, but Patreon still takes it's cut along with the credit card processors.

There are still too many middlemen and this platform aims to change that it seems. It's an area for disruption and I think a great potential buy for early investors, and worthwhile for content creators to get in on while the platform is new when it launches.  They offer vote-based tipping, recurring payments from fans and business-sponsored endorsements, which is how most people make their cash form YouTube's massive platform. The difference here, of course, is it will be secure and seamless on the block chain, cutting out the middle men who seem to be screwing the content creators. This is a ripe opportunity I think.

One of the things that gave me some hope is they seem to be lining up support with actual content creators with real following's. I first read about that here: https://medium.com/view-ly/announcing-the-first-of-our-new-creator-lineup-25e95231d694

One of the first people they grabbed, which to me was a good sign they were serious, was Nick Nimmin who is fairly popular and actually has a channel dedicated to helping people make compelling video content. You can see him here https://www.youtube.com/user/NickNimmin These creators will actually draw real users, onto an actual real platform, and a big issue with so many tokens and ICO's is that they are just whitepaper's with no real service or product. YouTube is huge, so you can kind of already assume this will be a winner, as video content dominates these days.

Another big vote of confidence that prompted me to share this was what I read here: https://steemit.com/viewly/@leelektrik/viewly-or-charlie-shrem-puts-his-money-where-his-mouth-is
Charlie Shrem invested 900 ETH into Viewly's platform. Why does this matter? He is the co-founder of BitInstant which was one of the earliest and most high profile bitcoin companies, facilitating bitcoin purchasing in retail locations such as Walmart, Walgreens, and Duane Reade. This is real world application and experience. He was one of the earliest adopters in the Bitcoin space. His support for this platform, in my mind speaks volumes.

What do you guys think? Personally I have been suggesting many of my ICO seeking friends to give this a look, and some of my YouTube friend creators too who have been very interested. I found their Telegram community to be really friendly, and they answered any questions or concerns I have had so far. You can check out their Telegram channel here if interested. https://t.me/viewly

I bought some Viewly tokens!  I'm with you on this, especially like the idea of using my coins to upvote my favorite artists! Giving more power to the people is what pushed this for me.  It definitely long past due that artists have some alternatives to what's on the market now.
