http://www.walletchecker.comAboutWe created this tool to help folks figure out what coins they may be able to claim with their wallets. With all of these recent forks it's getting hard to keep up. It is completely safe, we do not need private keys. Just paste in the address and the tool will check multiple chains for a balance. Donations would be greatly appreciated. We would like to maintain and add more features. you should add some related links in front of each check. for example in front of BCH add the link to its website or bitcointalk announcement topic or both and also the explorer you used to fetch the balance (if you are using a explorer, if not explain how you are doing it). for example if i search my address there it should show something like this Bitcoin: 0 BTC Bitcoin Cash: 0.13023 BCH , official website.... it helps with the claiming process so that people can find the websites easier.

I tried and it actually worked, simple as that. The site is clean and neat, but I expect that you will add advertisement banners after getting enough visitors. Choose the best least annoying place for them. It's ready for mobile too, the menu changes into a tab when viewed in a small screen, quite nice. Loads fast even when searching for fork's blockchains, it took less than a sec (is this actually searches multiple blockchain?).
If you can at least add CSS styling for better visual, users might pay a visit..... for eye-candy.

and also the explorer you used to fetch the balance (if you are using a explorer, if not explain how you are doing it).
This feature is already available for registered users (your other suggestion would be nice though).
Suggestion for registered users: 1. Add a "delete" option for added addresses. 2. Separate "Save and Check Wallet" options to "Check Wallet" and "Save Wallet" (not that much of a priority though [as long as a "delete" option is added]).

Quick and handy tool to check Bitconi fork balances! Would it be possible to setup a Privacy Policy page describing how you handle your 'Registered' users and non-registere / guest users data? Are the addresses stored by registered users encrypted in such a way that even the administrator will not be able to associate that address with the registered users email and their IP address? As an addition to the wallet checker, would it be possible for you to provide accross each fork a way to redeem / withdraw the funds from the forks? Also, I noticed that the "Please Donate" hyperlink on the footer redirects to http://www.walletchecker.com/Account/About but that page shows up with a "Server error".

I have a suggestion: Show how much is your address worth by calculating each coin price. Example: If you have 1 BTC ($9.435,82) and 1 BCH ($1.148,49), show that your wallet is worth $10.584,31. you should add some related links in front of each check. for example in front of BCH add the link to its website or bitcointalk announcement topic or both and also the explorer you used to fetch the balance (if you are using a explorer, if not explain how you are doing it).
This already happens if you register and add your address (there is a link to each coin's block explorer page). It shouldn't be hard to add that to the normal search page.

I see it works like blockchain explorer to check the transactions. When there are dynamic address and enabled segwit on the wallet. I am not sure how possible that works better in the market. I have checked your BTC donation address of your address. It shoes zero transaction all the transaction explorer on one you mentioned.
If you add dynamic address back track tool to find the complete transaction of chain basis.

Good Project.Seeing something worthy after a long time in this section. you should add some related links in front of each check. for example in front of BCH add the link to its website
Why ? That is an unnecessary feature and don't think that information is hard to google even if the laziest dude on the planet copy-paste's the coins name from the presented explorer. OP : When back button is clicked on the browser or your home-page route is active, please clear the value of address input field as it is still holding my first input address.

I agree with pooya87. Why shouldn't it be added? As a matter of fact it is a very simple addition to that page. It wouldn't take too long to add that. Also, as a user views the balance there is nothing much to do there after that. It's guaranteed that they'll go to another link, so there's no point in not adding related links. I think it's not a lazy thing to add a one-click source link.

Thank you all for these awesome suggestions! Here are my responses and a quick summery of what made the requirements list.
@pooya87 - As mentioned by others your first suggestion is available when you register and login. I link out to third party explorers for verification but the lookups are actually from our own nodes. We wanted to keep the home page open lookup light so we don’t incur too much overhead. As for your second suggestion it made the requirement list, thank you!
@nc50lc - I would like to keep it ad free. If we can make it useful to many, just a few small donations could keep it running. The hosting is not too expensive the larger part of the cost is that we are actually running our own node for each fork for privacy and accuracy. On the “better visual” suggestion we would definitely like to hear more details on that, thank you!
@SFR10 - Adding a delete was a complete oversight on our part, as we were rushing to get something out for review. Its now on list. Save and Check wallet options also on the list, thank you!
@xdrpx - “Privacy Policy” definitely made the list as soon as we implement some kind of encryption for addy storage. We would need to be able to decrypt for lookups though, any suggestions? The broken link is priority and is on the bug fix list, thank you!
@TryNinja - The exchange/other API call for current pricing may add some overhead but we will give it a try, thank you!
@AngelSky - Dude, you are way smarter than we are. Can you dumb it down a bit and we will try our best to get something from it.
@Joel_Jantsen - Expire page and clear address field after lookup, made the list, thank you!
@CRYPTOLOOT.US - We will add ethereum addy for donations, thank you!
@npredtorch - A link to third party explorer for verification is available when logged in and viewing saved wallets.
Requirements we will be working on: - link to fork explanation, home page or discussion site - delete wallet option - separate save and check wallet option - addy storage encryption - Privacy Page - check pricing and calculate wallet value - expire page and clear address field after lookup - add ethereum donation addy
Bug fix - boken donade link in footer

I already found a similar sites few days ago, but having an alternative are always fine Is it possible for you to add Segwit Support ? I tried to search for my Segwit address for a possible fork coins hidden inside, but your explorer doesn't seem to support segwit address. I'm using Electrum and it uses Bench32 format for its segwit address, such as : bc1qym78hdnecywtyzrdyhme8j3hthr6kr04xk9xp0 Will be looking forward for any improvements in the future

Simple and effective concept. Wouldn't mind it being styled a bit different from the standard boostrap template. I'm sure this tool will be useful to people trying to work out if their wallet is segwit2x compatible

Hello, Very nice website! I've been meaning to go through my addresses and figure out what's what with all these forks. People will really like this. As for suggestions, I guess when you are able add some styling over the basic bootstrap code, but that's appearance, not functionality (so in my book it's lower priority). Honestly, I'm not the best when it comes to UX, I leave that to the amazing graphic designers, but maybe you're better at it than I am. Or maybe you can find someone that's willing to help your project by giving you some fancy CSS and/or template HTML to drop in. I think the idea of having prices would be awesome, but I read and understand what you mean about the extra overhead and API calls. Possibly a compromise would be to set up a separate cron job to run on a periodic basis (hourly maybe), that would grab the current price for each coin and then you could do the math based on the balances. It's not real-time but it's a pretty good gauge of the price if it's just an hour delayed, and that wouldn't add too much overhead I wouldn't think. The only other thing I can think of off-hand is, here's the ad that displays here on the forum about a wallet splitting service: I think I know what most of those ticker symbols are, but not all of them lol. But I assume these are the forks that are worth anything, guess Bitcoin Pizza didn't make the cut? Anyway, if and when you can add any of these that you don't have to your site, that would be super useful. Of course, if this ad is showing a coin that is worthless, I wouldn't bother taking the time to put it in place, certainly not if you're running any nodes for this unless you have the infrastructure to spare. But if there are any other coins besides those that you've listed that are worth anything, might be something to shoot for to add them in. Also, I'm not sure how your code is structured, but if these forks continue, might be good to have it so that adding new coins is pretty plug and play. Best of luck with your project! Oh, can I tweet out the URL to your site? I'm sure others will like this service. Best regards, Ben
