There are several places where bitcoin is used as a payment methods. Funny how you mentioned domains; there is a domain site that takes payments exclusively in BTC. Check out the Goods & Services sections of this very forum, or check out the trading sections on forums all over the web. BTC as a payment method is thriving - "merchant adoption" is certainly falling, in the institutionalized sense, but from an avid online forum user, BTC has never been bigger.
