Secure Myetherwallet in the best way?, Who can help me? My friend has been hacked for myetherwallet over 150 ethereum along with all tokens including mattrix, fusion, ptoy, ...... The recent myetherwallet security is constantly hacked, so is there a better way? I'm using Metamask to secure my mythical wallet, but hacking still happens normally! Is there a way to retrieve the ethereum number and the entire token lost to my friend? Please show me how to secure the myetherwallet in the best way!

I wonder your friend's myetherwallet how to hacked? If the private key is not compromised, the probability of being invaded is almost zero, and I don't know how it can be accessed at so many address the same time.

You are surely asking a lot of question Secure Myetherwallet in the best way?, Who can help me?
Don't click any suspicious link which you found on telegram, slack and other social media. Don't download any suspicious bot/program (100% winning bot, 100% profit trading bot) Don't tell your private key to anyone. My friend has been hacked for myetherwallet over 150 ethereum along with all tokens including mattrix, fusion, ptoy, ......
Sorry to hear that. 150 ETH is really a lot The recent myetherwallet security is constantly hacked, so is there a better way?
Do like i said on above I'm using Metamask to secure my mythical wallet, but hacking still happens normally!
What? Do you mean your metamask wallet got hacked as well? Is there a way to retrieve the ethereum number and the entire token lost to my friend?
No, there is none.

If you have enough money to buy 150 ETH, you have enough money to buy a hardware wallet. This should be one of your main priorities if you have a significant sum invested.

The only way to "hack" MEW is phishing. I wonder why the heck your friend didn't use hardware wallet having that amount??? Trezor or Ledger wallets are totally secure, because they keep private keys and the only thing they do is signing messages with the chosen private key. So you aren't able to compromise private keys at all.

I realy dont understand what you mean by that. If someone is entering your mew with metamask, than he is most probably doing that from your pc. Remote control of some kind like TeamV, or he found your pass somewhere where you wrote it down, saved on pc...

I doubt he was hacked, probably he clicked on a phishing site instead or somehow got his private key accessible to someone. In any case I wonder why he would decide to keep 150 eth in mew instead of using a hardware wallet.Your best bet at keeping your coins safe is to use a hardware wallet such as ledger or trezor

No one can revert back the stolen tokens and eth. Avoid phishing sites, store your crypto in a hardware wallet. And be careful when you visit websites and keep an eye out.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to return money, which was stolen from MEV. There are 3 options why it happened - or your friend went to a phishing site. Or your friend kept the secret key on the computer. Or he got a virus on his computer. (To avoid the latter you must not click on other people's links).

Regardless of what wallet it is, possibility of being hacked is there. We are responsible in the security of our private keys, so in your friend's case myetherwallet is not the issue imo. Unfortunately, there is no other way to get back the coins unless the hacker send it back which is unlikely to happen.
My ways of protecting my Eth Wallet/Private keys: 1. I saved my private key in a safe place (offline : away from the PC that I am using everyday) 2. I don't open my wallet every time I want to check my coins/tokens balances, instead I check my address through block explorers (etherscan.io , ethplorer.io) 3. I have Metamask and EAL chrome extension (I enable warn of blacklisted domains to avoid phishing/malicious sites) 4. Whenever I need to open my wallet and do a transaction, I manually type myetherwallet URL in my browser's address bar (I never access the site through easy clickable links anywhere) 5. After opening the site, I double/tripple check the URL and the green MYETHERWALLET LLC [US] before unlocking my wallet

Can add, that if do not have a hardware wallet, do not store your passwords on your PC. And if you keep the data, then encrypt it so that if you catch the virus, hackers could not access your data.

I manually type myetherwallet URL in my browser's address bar - this is the best advice to avoid phishing sites. Once you get to real MEW make a bookmark so next time the browser will advice the right link. What relates to the storing of your private keys - just buy Ledger/Trezor and forget about this problem

Use hardware wallet (Trezor etc) is safest for now i think, judging by the total loss of your friend's Ethereum I assume that he can buy a hardware wallet (trezor etc). Or if he still wants to use mew try google add-on Etheraddresslookup (This is made by one of the admin / moderator etherscan). And there are many other ways in google. Be careful! Goodluck!

150 Ethereum equals a lot of money, you shouldn't store that in a third-party cloud. Instead create a paper wallet or use a desktop wallet, preferably on a offline computer (not connected to the internet). Web-wallets are useful for active usage, like shopping but you shouldn't use it as a bank account. But if you really want myetherwallet, then make sure to have an unique password without words and also double check if your computer is not infected.

The question is, how did he get hacked? Did someone knew his private key or it was compromised? If you kept your private key safe, then there is no way to be hacked. The only thing you need to do is to keep it and do not share it with others.

You must check where you now, exactly it is myetherwallet or another fishing site. Always be verified on viruses because is troyan when you use copypast then adresses can be change.

In order to understand how you need to protect yourself, you need to analyze what the people who are hacking do to me, it seems to me that your uncompromising companion came to the MEW site which was compromised by DNS substitution, probably first of all it should be just more attentive, but it's better to buy Trezor or Ledger

I guess that you have entered phising site who wants you to gives private key and password. There is no other way, despite you give information about private key and password to anyone.
