Hi all... I'm launching a new 'raffle style' game if anyone is interested.

I tried to make the whole process as simple as possible: it does not require visiting a website, creating an account or sending coins to a 'unique to you' address. It does not rely on the results of any external lotteries or anything, and it is designed as a 'consistent payout rate'. That is to say, it pays out as soon as a certain amount has gone into the pot: it does not wait until the end of the week or anything. Finally, because all payins are to a fixed address, and all payouts are from that same address, in theory anyone can 'audit' the address and ensure the payouts are happening.

Like I say, it's a 'mini raffle': low buy in with a relatively small pot (and only taking a rake equivalent to one single buy in)... hopefully this appeals to the forum newbies Smiley

So with all that, let me introduce my first 'raffle': this is a really small one, to get your feet wet. It costs 0.1BC per ticket, and pays 1BC after receiving 1.1BC (so basically, 11 tickets are sold and 10/11 of the money is returned to the winner). If you're interested in playing, send 0.1BC (or some multiple) to 16292T2bjSjAr88K1Ricyny6cdq1MfjbmD .

While it is still beta, I have ironed out all of the bugs that I know of. One thing that I haven't tested yet is what happens when the payment is sent as a batch of payments to multiple recipients. So I would recommend against that.

If I see any problems, I'll post them here. Other than that, let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks, and good luck!

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Unfortunately, games like this aren't popular here anymore...  That was  a completely different ball game month ago...

Thanks for the feedback Trololo. I was worried that that was going to be the case... my problem is I always end up 'over-engineering' my systems, instead of launching them Smiley

I'll keep it running nonetheless, though (I mean, it doesn't cost me anything, right?), and at least it gave me a reason to play some more with JSON requests!
