Hello, you should go to the meta section that belongs to "Other" section and you could find more information about your queries.

Ranks position and badges here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0
For the Merits and sMerits here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

Please free to roam around the meta section or you could hit the links above because they might be somewhere in the pages in meta section.
Good luck!!!

With a post history like yours I would be ashamed to even think about ranking up. Try posting something interesting for a change instead of spamming.

Well basically, you shoudn't post that kind of topic here in the alternate cryptocurrency thread, it is more appropriate if you post it in the bitcointalk's bitcoin discussion in order to find more accurate answer to you questions.

Last month, there was a new regulation regarding the ranking in the bitcointalk. To become a junior member (Jr.member) you must have at least # 1 (merit). You can get it by making useful posts. Welcome and thank you.

I also still not understanding this ranking and membership process here in the BTT. In my concern first I was in Junior member rank but now it is Newbie. And, still continue posting but there is no change. I think in every 14 days the activities are changing and according to this the ranking also changing but don't know the duration.

now for up rank there must be merit, and if you want to merit then make a good post or post a clear project bounty so you can get merit to increase rank.

Good articles will be sent to you by high rank. If you do well and have posts built for the forum, sure the moderators will send merit to you and you will be promoted to the rank. You should visit this link for more information and rules.

I just want to let you know that if you are a newbie then you will be lucky if you could even rank up to Junior Member because even how hard you will push yourself to work hard on this site and if there's no one will give you a merit then for sure you will just be stuck in what rank you are now because nobody here cares to give you a merit so that you could rank up and that's the truth!

Yes this wonderful plan was executed by the moderator of this forum theymos, reason is to avoid spammers and the post should be valuable that's the reason it was make 1merit is mandatory to become a Junior member.

if first the ranking will go up if the activity increases, for now and so on it depends on the merit you have, so make a quality post so you will get merit to increase your bitcointalk rank

This has been the complete answer for your question op..because in the past only the post counts and the activity points that matters before an account get some ranks ,ofcourse staying online also is matter

But these days when Merit system take place,it become more harder for everyone to ranked specially those people came from countries that english is just a second language.or somtimes third language it is difficult to explain in understandable ethics the concerns

I do not think this is the right section to discuss this issues and I also found out that you have been duly assisted as well with the link to the rank system

But the truth is don’t focus on getting merit to increase your rank because it will be difficult
It’s better to focus on addition of factual and benefiting post to the forum and merits will come after you and your ranks will increase as well

It is just simple, after achieving almost 30 activity points, then all you have to do, is post more good quality posts in order for you to earn merit points. When you get at least one merit point, you can rank up to Jr Member. Just make a good quality post.
