The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I think it's fair of asking 1$ or 2$ above the market price, as he is one of the few now accepting paypal or western union. I don't know personally the guy and can't vouch for him but by checking his post he know what he is talking about.

1$ to 2$ more for paypal getting quick BTC is very fair compared to other methods available right now for other countries than US.

I charge 3 bux over market price for most of my sales via paypal.  It is worth it for many buyers, because it takes me 4 days to get money from my bank account to dwolla to MTGOX and to make a purchase.  Then you have NON US RESIDENTS who cant use DWOLLA and have an even harder time getting things funded.  Sellers take all the risk using paypal so a 2 to 3 dollar charge is definitely normal.  I was selling mine on ebay for 21 to 25 when they were 18 on MTGOX.  Still selling mine for 16 to 18 with no problems and there 14 on MTGOX.  IT ALL DEPENDS ON SUPPLY, DEMAND and RISK

You forgot the 1-2 days for Dwolla to verify your bank account. When I did it, it took a week. I don't know how long it takes now. Yupz which is why I ignore people who say people won't buy over market price. People have to realize USD has multiple online payments - PPUSD, MTGOXUSD, WUUSD, USD by mail all have a different exchange rate.

It's useless. Although US bitcoiners have many fund options to get BTC. Paypal to BTC is risky and with these options useless (a few bitcoins per user, above market price).

I don't really know what you're trying to say here. PayPal to BTC is much risker for the seller than the buyer. What's useless? And yes it is a few bitcoins per user above market price.

It's a damn shame PayPal allows chargebacks weeks or months after the TX... if it were something more reasonable, the buyer could assume the risk and wait until after the chargeback window to receive the bitcoins. Oh well Sad

You can. That's exactly what PayPal Mass Pay is.... no chargebacks.

Looks like it is time for 2 newbies walk into a bar again...

Not sure what you're getting at here, but I'm not a newbie.
