What's the best way of copying my private key from my MultiBit wallet to the Mycelium wallet on my phone?
Is this even a good idea?

I wouldn't do it, but op. Storing coins on a mobile isn't the best idea.

Maybe he has a reason to temporarily store them there. For example a BitCoin Convention? A quick buying trip in Berlin's BitCoin district? How would you guys now.

Anyway, I have Mycelium on my tablet and I know how to import it. Open the option menu, go to "Key Management" and press the "+". There you can add a private key. If you do not see it, then it is possible that you have to enable the expert option under "Settings"

Thank you all. I'm new at this, but I just discovered that a Bitcoin private key really isn't that big, meaning that it can easily be printed on paper and then typed in.

In response to why I want to have my bitcoin on my mobile device, I may be traveling in the future, and I want to be able to exchange BTC for local currency.
