What Alt coin you think will reach the price of Bitcoins in about 1-2 years from now? Is it possible for Alt. Coins prices to go up the way Bitcoin did? Vote

I could not find CGB on your poll. I will share the same reasons I just named in the CoinMKT thread: CGB is one of the best crypto currencies on the market today. Take a look and see how it stacks up to any other crypto available and you will be impressed. Here are some of it's qualities: - Rarity - 1 million CGB cap with a yearly inflation of .5% after that - Security - PoS/PoW hybrid - so has added resistance to 51% attacks - Intelligent Design - One of the best difficulty algorithms around to prevent raping by multi-pools - Supply/Demand - Rapidly reducing subsidy algorithm to assist in a steadily increasing price due to reducing demand - Speed - Extremely fast transaction time - Financial Backing - An advertising budget of over $2k per month - Ongoing Development - An extremely active development team - Popularity - A strong community following (over 8k likes on Facebook) - Future - Very large game-changing projects in the works

I could not find CGB on your poll. Pts, CGB, that pales in comparison with devcoin. How can you say a coin is legit if you can't trade it for dollars?

I'm a fan of ANC although I don't expect it to ever reach BTC levels.
Not many people take into account that there will (IMO) be SOME SHA-256 coin that becomes popular once all the current hardware becomes obsolete due to BTC difficulty going insane. (ex. ZET, ASC, OSC)

It took BTC over 4 years to get to the price its at, with about the entire crypto marketshare for about 3 of those years. I don't see any Alt coin hitting its price in 1-2 years. Thats not to say that an Alt coin couldn't hit like $10/coin or something cool like that, but I'm not seeing $130 in the crystal ball right now. With the hundreds of alt coins there are right now, in order for any of them to make it big, they would have to attract many times more users than any one coin is getting right now, and keep those users. Bitcoin has something like a Million estimated users, although no one is really sure because only a small fraction use the forums. You would be hard pressed to find more than a few thousands users for even the more established and popular coins.

If bitcoin climbs to $5000 then litecoin should have a good shot at it with the 50:1 ratio.

But lets say if 30% of Bitcoin users dealt with Alt. Coins , people offered services and established stores that accept Alt. Coins, the value would rise.

But do you think people would buy Bitcoins if they reached $5000?

A very wise man once said:
"Bitcoin has no PoS. Bitcoin has no Po'L' (longevity). Bitcoin is the first chapter in a book that is best known for its twisted ending. Bitcoin is a big stone wheel, relentlessly being pushed along by the blind, leading the blind in tow. Bitcoin was yesterday!....who knows what is today....and who knows what is tomorrow?? Bitcoin is so slow that I could send one of my pigeons to make a transaction, and return the receipt before the first confirm. Bitcoin will ever so slowwwwly become obsolete. An antique, a novelty item. Bitcoin is a relic to those who have buried it, but still a treasure to those who discover it. Bitcoin is a template, a design, a seed, an origin. Bitcoin is an insight, a beginning, a doorway to a whole new meaning. Bitcoin is the giants shoulders on which we stand......but nothing more than this."
- Killiz

But do you think people would buy Bitcoins if they reached $5000? Probably not the smaller folks dealing in whole bitcoins, but at that level it would be Wall St. and investors like the Bitcoin Investment Trust or proposed Winklevoss ETF. Nothing preventing people from trading in micro-increments of btc if the price gets that high.

No. BTC may drop tomorrow due to unforseen circumstances, which will result in all the alts ending up dead too. Something radically different may take over but that is not here yet.

None. Momentum is not there. First to market usually leads for a long long time.
