I agree with you because we have so many altcoins to choose and every altcoin has the history from the beginning so we can analyze each movement from the altcoin. in the ICO, we only know their project from the whitepaper, talking with the dev or the teams, ask something that we don't know and it needs time to see how good the ICO after it's launch in the market.

ICO investment is not good for now because of market down trend. Alt coin investments are better now. Under the normal condition, ICO investments are risky than alts. Finding a good ICO is very difficult. It should select very carefully. But it will give you better return.

I don't think that ICO investment can give as much returns as investing in altcoins, especially since the ICOs are very over-priced right now. On top of it, there is a great deal of chance that many of the ICOs are pure scams, set up by conmen to cheat the unsuspecting investor.
