It is much risky to invest in an ICO now as many of them are just scams.
The market is also not good to have. But never forget that those ICO are the creator of alternative tokens.

Investing now in altcoins will give you assurance that your money is moving as they are already in the market.
But still, dont put your guard down as they may fall in the market also.

I do not think that at this time investments in ICO can give you a big profit. The market for crypto currency has changed very much and the ICO industry is in great decline at the moment. That's why I prefer to invest in altcoins.

Invest in altcoin, as the coin is traded, the ICO is the tokens in the development phase, they may not be able to mobilize enough capital and will not succeed.

I think investing in Altcoin is better because ICO is really not suitable for investment now, there are too many scams, and there are many shitcoins. All of course depends on the financial component. If I have a lot of extra money, I will take a risk and invest it in ICO, as it can be an incredibly fast way to earn. And if I do not have such funds, then I will try to earn on altcoin. This is a cool option

today it would be alts investment, not only top20 but fresh and unique ideas which were closed their token sales not for a long time ago. For me it is QKC, PAI, ZIL, ICX, ONT, VET, XTZ, WAN, GEN, FTM and others. And also a couple risky investments with a little of money to very low capitalisation projects, something from 1000-2000 cmc places.

Of course, it is better to invest in known coins. ICO recently do not bring profit because their ideas are useless or were originally created to suck money from investors.

Volume and the amount of coding would be heavy on the known coins because they were updated for a longer period.

I'd recommend to invest in Altcoin. as I am sure with the presence of a large number of coupled Altcoin development enthusiasts were present able to support for the advancement of Altcoin future. and it also make Altcoin able to produce many more larger profits and gradually increased.

It would depend on your research because ICO investments can be really profitable too if chosen right. What you'll need to check is if the team behind is credible and has a good public track record as they will play a great role in the success of the ICO.

There is no absolute answer to the question.  Established coin may be stable and take years before it bring you any profit.  The new ICO might be very promising and popular and you may realise your profit in a very short time!

I think it's better to invest in well-known coins because ICO is more risky and you will take too much time to analyze it thoroughly. So invest in Eth or some tokens in ETH network!

If you want to get instant profits from your investment, then you can invest into ico and if you want to get big profits with less risk, then I recommend you to invest into some good altcoins for long term.

If you ask this question in here I can clearly say forget about investing in ICOs!

For the altcoin investment, Holochain is my recent fav project. I don't know if you can make profit for the short term but if they can achieve their big goals it will make tons of people rich imho.
