In auction threads, you do your simulations first, and your bidding afterwards.  What kind of BS was that bid supposed to be?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

just a question, how do you sure about who will actually pay, and how to confirm the winners? you will send a private email?

MRB,

Lets say 26 bids @20btc bidding ends, and my 27th bid is @25btc, will my bid fall back to @20btc as the others, or will they pay the 20btc, and I pay the 25btc?

Ebay makes it so that you if you are the highest bidder, you win at the lowest amount needed to win the auction. I know this isn't ebay, but just wondering how this will go down?

I have a quick question, for those who will pay with credit card, how will you decide the price of BTC? Mt.Gox's price is $145 right now but bitstamp is $125. Ever since mtgox stopped processing payouts and started playing silly buggers with peoples money, their btc price has become a bit detached from reality IMHO. Will you be fair and use BTC average?

I will private message the winners to confirm their email address or phone number. Then TAV will use email or phone to arrange payment and delivery details.

So far, about 8 in 10 bids seem legit with high certainty. Some bitcointalk accounts (like yours) are very new, and if more new accounts start bidding we will start enforcing bidding requirements (such as signing a message with a Bitcoin address holding sufficient funds, or making a 0.1 BTC deposit to TAV to allow you to bid which you be returned if you don't win the auction, etc).

I mean: "or making a 0.1 BTC deposit to TAV to allow you to bid - the deposit would be returned if you don't win the auction, etc."

sbfree: in this hypothetical scenario, you would pay 25 BTC.

klintay: we take the average, more specifically we will select a rate that will be at most +/-1 % away from the Coindesk Bitcoin Price Index as explained.
