The Anti-Phishing Working Group has been tracking Bitcoin and crypto currency crimes since 2011.

https://apwg.org/cryptocurrency/

You are invited to submit original research papers on crypto currency crimes and defense.

https://apwg.org/apwg-events/ecrime2018/cfp

You are also welcome to our next eCrime 2018 conference in San Diego, California. May 15-17 2018

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
