3/30/2018 Update: Updated install images to V2.  Added overclocking and undervolting, and fixed some hardware compatibility.  Added a documentation link to the site.
3/28/2018 Update: Added the updated XMR-Stak and XMRig for the Monero POW change.
3/15/2018 Update: Added claymore's dual miner 11.5 that released yesterday for AMD and Nvidia
3/14/2018 Update: Added ccminer-tpruvot and dstm for Nvidia image
3/10/2018 Update: Added Nvidia image, tested with 10 series cards
3/02/2018 Update: Ubuntu 17.10 image added for anybody that might want it.

I had been using another web based mining management system for a while, and there were a few features that I didn't like about it.  I was mining Monero, but with the increase in difficulty it was much more profitable to mine Ethereum or Equihash.  I wanted to run my own miners and be able to update them on my own.  I also want to make sure that I can mine as soon as possible with major events coming up like the Monero POW change and possibly Grincoin coming out.

So, I created a website to manage my rigs, and I wanted to open it up to anybody that would like to use it.  I have an Ubuntu 16.04 image that is up to date (as of right now), and the 17.40 AMD gpu pro drivers or CUDA 9.

I install the drivers from AMD on first boot and miners from source (if they provide source) so that they are built for the platform and also so that it’s easy to make sure nothing bad is going on.  My install versions of the miners are on Github and pulled down to the machine and installed automatically if they are not currently installed.  The source can be viewed on the machine.

I install ethminer 0.13.0 and sgminer-5.5.5-8 on first boot with the driver.  I also have others that it will automatically install from Github if you select them.  I will be adding more as time goes, and adding newer versions as they are released.  You can also install your own miner and add its configuration into the web interface to be run just like the built-in ones.

I made a few quality of life improvements, like making sure my web session hasn’t expired and I’m looking at stale data that I didn’t realize wasn’t updating.  I also don’t push any updates once it is installed.  The only thing that might change is that a prerequisite package is installed to install a miner you have selected to use.

One of the things I didn’t like was making payments for future credits or paying for something I don’t know if I’ll use, as well as transaction fees to get coins I may not mine.  The website will automatically switch the miner to mine into my pool for 5 minutes per day, and then automatically switch back to your configured miner.  In my test on my 12 RX580 4GB rig, I made about 5 cents (USD) in that 5 minutes.  My goal is for this to be a cheaper option, especially for people that want to mine infrequently or only have 1 or 2 cards.  I may adjust the time up or down slightly to make sure people aren’t over paying, and I’ll be glad to work with anyone that is concerned about the cost of large rigs.

Added an Ubuntu 17.10 image added for anybody that might want it. Hopefully the NVidia image will be working this weekend if my 1080ti comes tomorrow.

I was trying not to make it sound like I was bashing simplemining OS because that was what I used and it's very good, I just had some issues with it.  All of my initial write-up is basically a comparison just to that one.  Here are some quicker points:

- I wanted this platform to be a platform that beginners could use, but advanced users could customize in any way and not worry about their changes being wiped out by updates.  For example, if you want to implement your own fan control, you can edit my init.sh file and remove mine without worrying that I will overwrite your changes later.  I was also concerned that an update I didn't need would be forced on me and break the rig at the worst time.

- What do you do if an algorithm changes and the platform you use doesn't push the new software for some reason?  I wanted to be able to install my own miner software, and not just choose from a selection.  In mine, you can install your own miner, add the path and parameter string on the website, and use it just like any other.  One update I plan to
make is to allow you to pull your own miner software from github and auto install it to the rigs just like I do with the ones I've added.  I may get that added this weekend.

- I want to keep everything up to date, but also leave old versions in case they work better.  My install has all of the current OS patches and video drivers.  I plan to provide new images as major changes occur so that people can test them, but also keep the previous ones available.

- The feature that I want for myself is to switch the miner based on profitability, either to different coins or off completely.  I also want to be able to schedule times, so that if you have a large setup, you could stop mining in the hottest part of the day for a couple of hours and then start back up.  This is not currently available, but is something I plan to work on very soon.

XMR-Stak and XMRig have been updated/added to support the new Monero POW Change next week.  More miners to come and I'm taking requests.

In response to feedback, undervolting and better overclocking controls have been added as well, along with the beginnings of some documentation and some hardware compatibility changes.

17.10 image has been moved to the historical downloads because Ubuntu 18.04 will be out in a month.
