@EcuaMobi: Please add a list of scam members to avoid dealing with them or must using escrow before that. "There are a lot of scam reports against YoutubeTV.[1] [2]......."

@sandy-is-fine: You have the first reply, so it is very likely to be viewed, please include this list if @EcuaMobi does not do it.

for all: What do you think of making a list of scam members who should avoid dealing with them [using escrow before buying "blacklist members"] and then ask the manager to sticky it?

[1] SCAMMER ALERT - YoutubeTv
[2] Scammer alert - Scumbag seller - YoutubeTV
[3] Dont buy from Youtubetv (crypogift)

How would that work when I don’t know his name?

That list would be too long, would require to be updated several times per day and it would be imposible to be exhaustive.
That's why I and others leave negative trust and I recommend guests to register to see the seller's trust before making any deal and to avoid auto-buy links.

I can't find any advantages on maintaining this list instead of using the trust system:
  • It's more likely people check someone's rating than this list before making any list
  • This list would be maintained only by me instead of several people (your suggestion of having several users to maintain it is better, but I still don't think it's better than the trust system)
  • People could think the list is exhaustive and trust a scammer just because it's not on the list yet
  • A lot of work would be required to maintain the list
  • ...

Let me know if I misunderstood what you mean.

They were already tagged by another DT user but I've just tagged them too anyway.

If anyone wants a real good laugh read the above linked seller's feedback (from himself to himself).

It's lonely at the bottom of the shit pile.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5049114.0    It's amazing how this forum actually supports and sustains scammers and scamming.

This has been brought up on numerous occasions, but it's not that the forum supports scammers; it's just that there isn't a viable solution to nip their actions in the bud without becoming a censored dictatorship.

At the end of the day, the users who actually fall for these "too good to be true" deals are the ones who haven't done enough due diligence or research before purchasing the products, and they're ultimately the ones at fault.

I've said it here before, and I will say it again: I support the idea of not allowing sales threads to be self moderated or locked, and really wish a new standard will be implemented. Perhaps only allowing self moderated and locked threads by Jr. Member ranks and above, as long as they do not have any negative feedback from DT1/2 members.

It sucks that this continues to be a problem, but I really don't see the admins taking any actions against this. Just keep doing what you're doing @sandy-is-fine; you're fighting the good fight!
