Hello ! Did anyone observed these ? - both accept only BTC or payment by wire Why? - both announced TH/s output miners - both announced less than 1 W/GH/s performance - both named their chip "Gold": GoldStrike1 ASIC Chips (cointerra) and Golden Nonce (GN) 28nm ASIC chip (hashfast) - both use "state-of-the-art" liquid cooling system - the websites look the same (do a mock purchase from both and see) Any comment is welcomed !

Hello!
I saw many people on this forum that actualy show a great level of confidence regarding both Cointerra and HashFast. My intention wasn't to mock any ASIC producers . My intention was to gather as much data we can to help the community. When people put the money and the hopes on the game at least they deserve to know the rules of the game.

- both accept only BTC or payment by wire
Probably they need a reliable funding for their enterprises. - both announced TH/s output miners
Wouldn't make too much sense to announce a Megahasher right now. - both announced less than 1 W/GH/s performance
Both are working on a 28nm chip. The chips do the same task. Almost identical specs are to be expected under those circumstances. - both named their chip "Gold"
Beats me. Probably a coincidence. - both use "state-of-the-art" liquid cooling system
That's right. For a densely packed chip at high frequencies that's the best you can do. It's probably not the best choice for consumer hardware, where the last bit of performance isn't really necessary, but when it comes to mining, where 10% or 20% better performance really make a difference, that's a wise choice. - the websites look the same (do a mock purchase from both and see)
Both use the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. Hmmm. According to Wikipedia, this is one of the most popular WordPress plugins and has been downloaded over a million times. Nothing to see here.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

Thank you for you interest in HashFast! Here are some facts that distinguish HashFast from the competition: 1. HashFast taped out over a month ago. The other guys missed their "first week of October" deadline, and may not have even paid the NRE for their chip yet. 2. HashFast's physical design partner, Uniquify, has dozens of 28 nm designs under its belt. The other guy's? Not so much. 3. HashFast's physical design partner, Uniquify, sent out a press release annoucing their partnership with us. The other guy's? Not so much. [ Source: http://www.uniquify.com/uniquify-hashfast-ink-agreement-to-produce-asics-to-increase-hashing-speed-for-bitcoin-miners/ ] 4. HashFast's co-founders, Simon and Eduardo, have run a previous high-tech start-up successfully. The other guy? Not so much. 5. HashFast's foundry of choice, TSMC, is the largest and most advanced 28 nm fabrication facility in the world. The other guys' fab? Not so much. 6. HashFast has ensured its customers have an excellent chance of seeing a positive ROI by already placing orders for wafers of MPP chips. TOG? NSM. 7. HashFast customers will receive their products in Oct/Nov/Dec, before difficulty has been driven up by other upcoming ASICs. TOG? NSM. If you would like to know more about exactly what separates HashFast from the competition please ask here, in our other threads, or via private message. Best, -HF_CL

“We can say without equivocation that firms like MasterCard, Visa and the TBTF banks like JPMorgan and Goldman hate the idea of ever having to compete for business again. They have grown comfortable in their corrupt world of writing laws for themselves without any regulatory oversight. They enjoy the exorbitant privilege of bilking the American economy with extortionary transaction rates. They are scared of Bitcoin. And they should be. It offers transparency, cost efficiency and anonymity.” - Max Kaiser

Both are selling first gen gear and have no other hardware out under their respective organizations HashFast has completed logical and physical design, paid their NRE, taped-out a very complex chip in record-breaking time (over a month ago), and expects their TMSC wafers to be done next week. Cointerra might have done some of those things, but we don't know. In any case, Cointerra's chips won't be here for another two months, at best. To summarize for the TL;DR crowd: HashFast - chips done next week
Cointerra - hasn't even taped out yet

It is not that they aren't real. It is that they are selling overpriced shovels to suckers. But if the prices were reduced, more people would just buy them anyway taking up the network even further.
