Oh man. there is no possible way to get back any crypto currency if you sent it to a wrong address or any other currency address. Next time be careful about your information. Sorry for your lost. hope that the amount is not huge.

Maybe contact the service providers involved ? They have the corresponding private keys and may be able to help you!

It's impossible as you don't control your private keys with Localbitcoins, they do. You can contact the support but I doubt you will receive much help.

contact Localbitcoins support (https://localbitcoins.com/support/
) and tell them what you are telling us here but also in your ticket include the transaction ID and both addresses and wait for them to respond.

usually the services will solve your problem if the amount was big enough that makes the effort worth it. but if it is too small they will ignore you.

I think, this is possible because BCH is a pork of Bitcoin, They have the same structure and as we all know, We received this so-called BCH in our Bitcoin Address before, So I really think that they can bring it back the LocalBitcoin have their Primary Keys. You just really need to contact them, if they can give it back. It's always a good thing to ask the support.

The thing that you can only do is to move on and accept that your BCH had been lost forever, There is not much we can do about your problem because there is no solution for it and if its gonna return from your wallet then it is your lucky day and the transaction might detect some error, I really think this can be prevented if the address would have a specific coding on it and if the wallet detect that the code for a specific wallet is not corresponding for transaction they the wallet can detect an error.

Those are 2 different blockchains and even if wallet address structure is the same you've just sent your BCH to the address in BCH blockchain, which happens to have the same id as your BTC address.
Which probably means, it belongs to somebody else.

Okay now the results are out.

Looks like BCH did the job for people to lose their bitcoins.
Aint it one of the purpose of making such a coin that is almost the same name as bitcoin?
I dont think there will be a way to retrieve it.
As if the support of localbitcoin will answer and will tell you they will give it back.
What to do: Move on and make another investment. Next time be really careful with every move you make.

Yes there is bit you need the help of the owner of the private keys. Hopefully LBC will be a bit more responsive than the average exchange.

It's about time bcash sorted itself out and changed address format for good. I wonder how much of this is happening unreported.

I had the same problem: I transferred BTC to my Nano Ledger S BCH address.
I googled and found http://BitcoinMedic.com and opened a support case. They asked me for some details and then returned my funds

I think that the OP case is different because for your Ledger Nano the private keys were inside the device (or even more, they could be recreated even without the device from a 24-word backup). Even though it were for a different cryptocurrency, if the public address were the same, then the private key for both BTC and BCH is the same, too.

However, in OP case, the private keys are kept by LocalBitcoin service provider, so the OP must register a service ticket with them.

you can not get it back, next time you have to be careful again not to send to the wrong address.
and you have to accept the fact that your BCH has been lost forever, and will never come back again.  Cry Cry

Hello... I have sent the BCH from m Bitstamp account to Localbitcoins BTC address... My mystake... Now I lost BCH , I can not see it neither on Bitstamp account not on Localbitcoins account.

To what type of address did you send the BCash? A BTC legacy address starting with "1"? A Segwit "bc1" address? A multisig or transitional Segwit address starting with "3"?

If you sent to a legacy "1" address, then the BCH can be recovered. However, this needs the cooperation of Localbitcoins.
