Bitmain Antminer L3+ April first week batch is open for sale, do you think it is worth buying it ?Bitmain Antminer L3 April first week batch

My view is as follow:-
In July 2017 the L3+ could mine 20 coins a month

In March 2018 it can mine 1.50 coins a month

a drastic reduce of 93% approx.

So if we buy now in matter of 8 months it would be effectively 0.10 LTC coins a month.

Thanks.

I guess it all depends on how much LTC will be worth!

July 2017: 35$
January 2018: ~200$

It can be even less.
Difficulty moves exponentially, with both new miners, more investment (because of price surges) or new technology (new process like 7nm).
If price rises a lot, you would be making less coins but more money. If price tanks you could be making a lot more coins, the future will tell.

July 2017: 35$
January 2018: ~200$

Good point, it increased 8 times, but if you would have purchased LTC worth $2300 when it was $35 you could have got 65 LTC, means more porfitable then mining.

Now lets say :
March 2018: $200
December 2018: $1600
0.25 per month LTC generated x 9 = 2.5 LTC = $3600

But if you invest same $1600 you get 8 LTC

Whats your view now?

Hey, I was just making the same calculations and I was going to ask the same question! Now I'm sure I'm not the only one, that thinks investing the same amount of money in LTC directly would be far more profitable, rather than buying an ASIC miner and having to go through all the trouble with maintaining it, electricity etc etc.
If I had the money, I would definitely buy the coins Cheesy Would be good if someone, who's into ASIC mining comes and explain his point of view also. Would love to hear his point of view.

The profitability of such equipment is reduced after the introduction of each batch. Antminer L3 has been released for a long time. Therefore, I do not see any prospects in purchasing such equipment. I recommend you wait for the release of new equipment. A good income, you get only the first few weeks after release. The rest of the work is just a bonus.

I recently made a large amount of profits in cryptocurrency, and with that money that I made I was thinking of buying the L3+ antminer (about 15) to mine LTC. In this thread people are saying about buying the miners with USD and in my case it’s with crypto which I profited so I am not loosing a lot (I will gain the initial investment within a few months depending on the price of LTC), and about electricity, it’s cheap in my place, I am looking for peoples opinion in my case.

Also the miners are cheap at around 880USD which is a decent amount. I don’t know for how long it will stay this price.

Thanks Smiley

In truth i dont think mining is ever particularly attractive at the time, but say we see that 1 trillion+ MC by end of 2019, and a $1,000 LTC, 1.5 coins p/month aint so bad!

True, and that's exactly what i was thinking, what is making me worry is that why did the price of the mining drop so much? and will there be another mining devices better and cheaper than the one i got, but in the end if i get it now i will be getting my money back faster so Wink
