No, only the sender needs to pay the tx fee.

Different wallets may have different default fee setting.
Latest version of Bitcoin-qt is 0.0001 BTC/kb while Electrum is 0.0005 BTC/kb.

It is possible if the transaction consists of large amount of "dust inputs".

If he wants to do Exchange  converssion from BTC to USD and withdraw the 4$ USD, the 1$ is not unreallistic

All I can say is: don't send with less than recommended fees if you need to make a payment sooner than later.

I am always sending without fees when I transfer from one of my wallet to an other (could take a few weeks to proceed), but I also always send normal fees to other people.


I do not know about your wallet, but most wallet calculates it automatically.

I think you are right I have some dust inputs. Will this problem clear after this transaction or continue.

Well, just to put it put there, coinbase pays the fees for you!

Depends on your volume and transaction sizes.

I think coinbase pays them for you
