MarcoValdo: I don't believe Pokerstrategy offers tuition for free. I'm providing each student with "one to one" coaching. I can answer their questions as they come up. You can find some information online among forums and all. That's for sure. The time spent won't be the same.
B!z: I'm aiming at the begginer end of the spectrum here. So protips are the one thing you don't want to hear from me :-)
Beginers tip: Get a bankroll for your needs, you can play only freeroll and start from scratch. If you decide to deposit on a poker site, their are offers to get teh best value for your bucks.
Don't sign up on a poker site on your own. You should be able to get a nice offer (rakeback, VIP program boosts, First deposit bonus is a standard in the industry so do'nt rush anywhere, pm me first and i can tell you what's the best course of action)
Your starting hand preflop matters a lot more than what you could believe. Preflop is the setup for post flop. And post flop tend to be where most money is lost. So set yourself up for a proper situation and you'll prosper easily enough.
Whatever you're doingin poker, if you do it in position, it will work more often. Position is key in poker. Phil Ivey said that he couldn't beat his grandmother if he had to play every hand out of position. Logical following: Make sure you understand what position is.
Look for Value betting and profit will take care of itself. Forget about bluffing. Poker is about Value, Value, and some more value. When you face people who understand that, then you might need to slightly adjust your game. But before you get there, there will be a good many thousand hands where you won't have to worry about that. So for the moment, do'nt bother bluffing past the flop. It just ain't worth it.
I got plenty more to offer for those willing to learn. Some of this might not make sense. If it doesn't, then i'll care to elaborate in a session.
Pedrog: I do not have a hendon mob profile, if i had, i wouldn't offering to coach begginers :-) I'm no poker wizzard but i can teach the basics no problem.
I will actually offer 3 sessions for people willing to write a review of the sessions here afterwards. Then i suppose i'll take it from there and see what kind of feedback i'm getting. So if you're a begginer and want to learn about poker, or you're not a begginer and want to assess my abilities for the rest of the community, send me a PM i'll answer in the order of reception.
