Scams and What Their After!
- Scammers, their everywhere in modern day life and we have grown aware of how they try to get us. Whether someone named Phil thats calling form India demanding your SSN because you owe the IRS, or deciding to get married. But are you competent of scams in the new fornt you decided to sign up for? Crypto currency or anything dealing with money always gets people prepared to do their worst just for a quick buck. Are you secured? Who should you worry about? And how you can prevent it.

Am I Secured?

- Now their are numerous ways to secure your investments and your future. The first I wanna touch up on is a hardware wallet. A hardware wallet is a physical device that you physically hold. It can be a USB drive for example, and you can secure all your keys and currency on the device. Though storing like this can make transactions a bit more lengthy.

- Online Wallets. A Online Wallet, is a website that will allow you to store currency on their website. Sounds awesome right? Well, their are fees tied into it and this poses a threat of hackers getting access toy our account. Though the security teams of the websites do take precautions they cannot guarantee your funds, which makes this a little risky. Personally this is what I use just out of convenience and the fact I have only less than $100 USD on it.

Who Should I Worry About?

- In short EVERYONE! Whether they promise you their not, or their your own grandmother, SOMEONE is out to grab your hard earned money. If a link looks shady, don't click it! the website is spelled with one off letter? Don't go to it! ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THE SPELLING OF A WEBSITE BEFORE YOU LOG IN! THAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT!

- Anyone offering "Free (insert your choice coin here)". One, is it really free, or is apart of an Air Drop event? Two, does it look legit, does it sound legit, and is it a TRUSTED website and company? If for example bitcointalk was offering free coins off of a drawing, you can trust them, their community backed and have proven themselves in the past. If a new website offers a draw but requires a entry fee, should it be trusted? You a lot of times are gonna have to investigate, see whose hosting it, do they have a discord, is this to promote something, or is this just a blatant scam.

How Can I Prevent It?

- Use your gut instinct, a lot of you guys have been using the internet for a while, most of these scams should be clear as day. A simple website spelled similiarily has gotten the best of a few of us, me included.

- Sometimes getting scammed is just a mistake on your own part. Meant to send 1BTC instead of 10BTC? Sent your private key instead of public? If someone gets a hold of this you may have just put the fate of your money into a strangers hand.

- Check forums, people are always exposing scammers and scamming methods, educate yourself the best you can.

Thats it guys! I hope this helps some of you!
Did I miss something? Do I need to clarify something? Let me know!

Hey guys, if you thought this was helpful just pass this around to new people in the community to give them a hand! As always thanks for reading!

I was about to give you a couple of merits for this, but then I noticed you are begging for merit, so I didn't - sorry, but the forum doesn't allow merit begging.

The most common one currently is the twitter reply scam, where someone posts a reply to a famous person with send x amount of eth to y address and youi will get 5x amount of eth back. People are actually falling for this scam and everyone needs to be made aware.
