Hello All,

here a comment from Cryptsy to the Starcoin removal issue 09/25/13:

Question:

BitJohn,

do you know what issues that are specific? as i say i am curious cause i don't see any problems after 1.5 update thus far. should i stop mining?

Answer:

I know they never fixed the main issue with the coin just updated checkpoints. It keeps getting frozen due to forking reversals. IT is based on the same code as the original CAPs code so without adding all the fixes CAP's did I don't think it will ever be correct.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hello All,

BitJohn,

I see all the self-forking fixes from CAP are in Starcoin's latest 1.5 code. It was committed in github and released as version 1.5 10 days ago.

https://github.com/starcoinproject/starcoin/commit/a0ccb99023d326d79a928af940b58c4ce0800e8a

Can you be specific what fix is not in?

Also the dev of the STR seems unaware of any issues. Cryptsy disabled the trading without communicating to the dev for issues, is it an oversight?
