Whoah. The fluctuations in 2017 is in no way negative. It started just around 1k dude amd ended 17k even hitting an ath of 20k. If you're saying that because of the drop at the end of december then you're not paying attention that much. If you're going to base 2018 on 2017's performance, i'd say we're on a good path

I am not quite sure about the continued market dominance of Bitcoin. There are mainly two reasons. The first reason is that anonymous currencies such as Monero are being favored by the big players now. The second reason is that the scaling issues are yet to be resolved.

For me bitcoin is the root of cryptocurrency so no matter how many alternative cryptocurrency that is pop out right now still it will not work when bitcoin is gone or without the use of bitcoin, so I'd rather stick to bitcoin only and ignore other crypto.

litecoin will not replace bitcoin, I'm sure bitcoin will remain the most popular kripo. bitcoin is very potential compared to other altcoin. this is why bitcoin remains superior

Beating bitcoin atop the cryptocurrency market is a herculean task just because of how popular it has to be and how high it must achieve. BArring a collapse I do think that bitcoin would still be the undisputed king of cryptocurrency, granted there has been many tough characters coming and challengers all daring to take the throne but bitcoin has something that they all don’t have. Yes, I agree to that. The main reason that litecoin wont overtake bitcoin soon is cause of the popularity. Yes, I agree with you. Bitcoin will not be replaced with another coin. Even if there is a coin that replaces Bitcoin would take a very long time to compete with Bitcoin. But I do not think I ever imagined a coin that rivaled Bitcoin. Because for me Bitcoin is the most trusted coin and has good prospects for the future.

It seems that the dominance of bitcoin is not on a good mood because it doesn't continue to go up and because of the FUDs that is around, it creates panic selling for the bitcoin again and we can easily see the result of that FUD but i am very positive that sooner than later we will turn into bullish market again and see the light after this dark market.

yes this is a market we will not know the market competition like luxury goods or mobile phones that used to know now lose with this competitor depends on technology and the security system of the coin and the existence of the rules and responsibilities of the owner so we do not know will kah rivalry the market is still in possession of bitcoin.

In any angle bitcoin will always dominate other coins. Though their are alot of possibilities that the alts can rule over the crypt world but it would be a long long time to wait until it happen.

My guess is Bitcoin will be dominating the market in the short-term and the mid-term perspective. It's more popular than any other crypto now. It posses the unique features as a finite number that gives it the always raising trend in the long run. Yes, Bitcoin has many rivals amongst altcoins due to a bunch of the unsolved scalling and adoption problems and because the market  of cryptos is still developing. But Bitcoin has already its personal niche in the market.
