What was your best investment in 2017 and why? And what is your best investment for 2018?
Im not sure it belongs to beginners section. Bitcoin of course, i don't waste time on anything else related/copied. Its just not worth. Beware of fancy word deam investments proposals. Too good to be true is too good to be true. |

Cryptocurrency of course,when the time of bitconnect,but now bitconnect somebody called shitcoin but for me I still believed that when Bitcoin dip all coins are dip too..we are on votality investment or cryptocurrency which is the value is not all time high:)

I think overall I've earned the most on BTC. It didn't gain a lot in 2017 compared to some altcoins. I mean BTC gained like 700% last year, but there were coins that beat it by a lot. For instance XRP went from 0.005USD to 3 USD! So even if you had invested 100 USD in 2017 you'd have 20,000 ripple that would be worth 60,000 USD a year later! That's crazy, especially that this coin goes against everything that BTC is trying to achieve.

my best investment last year was monaco because i bought at the ico price below $1 and sold when it got to $24 .....My 2018 best investment i think will be medichain and Arcblock as both have unique and different technology and good use case they are solving.. |

The bitcoin section is already polluted with threads like this, where everyone is only generating posts without reading the previous comments.
Sometimes it happens that you find some good discussion on page 53 but soon you miss the point again somewhere on page 65.
Spam generating threads are no more needed, since the ranking up is depending not only on the activity.
I guess no one will read my comment here so...
Enough off topic.
I bought my first bitcoins/satoshis/ in August '17 @3300$ so i'm happy

I got super lucky in a couple of buys:
WTC at $0.07. Sold $9
TRX at $0.002. Sold at $0.11.
I learnt that gains is gains. Take profit and don't look back at missing money when you got really good profits.

2017: Substratum seemed as a winner. Bought at $0.70 and sold at $3+. However my portfolio did not beat bitcoin, when it hit $20k
2018: I expect Substratum, OmiseGo and Bitcoin to be the best choices in my portfolio.

I would call a token in one hedge fund as my best investment in 2017 because now the same fund has a minimum threshold of $10,000 to enter in the same. As I believe in diversification method, investing the whole capital in a single token or coin is risky according to my perspective so I was lucky to get into the fund with the less amount. Apart from that Bitcoin was the best investment in coin category and we all know the reason.

Oyster pearl, bought at 0.4$ and cash out @ $4 big returns in short period of time. Hopefully credits will give me more than I earn on oyster pearl.
