Tron seems like the obvious one given Jack Ma's links to Alibaba and Tron.

More and more companies are starting to adopt blockchain technology, IBM now use it also and it's a sign that the blockchain is definitely here to stay, whether or not cryptocurrencies go along with that remains to be seen.

We are in the very early stages of  blockchain technology and its adoption.
There may be partnerships made between well known brands and existing cryptoprojects,
but i think the vast majority of global brands will look to create their own blockchains to have full control.

Things in crypto world actually develop faster than we may expect.
Many people consider Tron as a hype coin, but as I can see it - Tron is a really undervalued asset at the moment.

It's great that they are developing new tech, but I would be more interested when Alibaba would simply accept BTC as a payment method.

I think exactly the same as you. Bitcoin will change the world, i will never get tired of saying it.

People at the beginning invested only and exclusively because they believed in the technology. Now it's open for both investors looking for profit and also for people looking for innovation. I consider myself as a bit of both.

I see Mr. Satoshi very close to the Tesla of the modern times, his invention made now more possible than ever to change your life conditions no matter where you were born. Something impossible before.

As more and more companies start to integrate it to their systems we will see a very positive improvement in the world from my point of view. I feel like a really big change is coming in the next years.

Alibaba is a very large marketplace. And blockchain technology has a huge potential for international e-commerce.
I think, many other  e-commerce platforms will follow their example.

One piece of news, especially one of that nature is not going to send the whole markets green. It is good though that one of the biggest companies in the world is adopting the latest technology in the world. It will either force others to also adopt and innovate, or not adopt but then get left behind the innovation curve. This won't push the markets green but it will propel blockchain and cryptocurrencies further and into more adoption, and that is a huge win.

I don't think that people are wrong in calling it a hype coin, but the hype is probably not misplaced. Any partnership with Alibaba will send the price soaring and that doesn't seem all too farfetched.

Bitcoin itself may not change the world but the technology behind it is already changing things in quite monumental ways, the ability to easily track all transactions is making companies far more accountable and transparent and that's only a step forward for society.

"China bans Bitcoin" for me sounds absolutely equal to "Saudi Arabia bans petroleum extraction" and "Ruassia bans gas production" Grin

The blockchain is not a cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies are based solely on blockchain, which is different. And, in China, they do not support cryptocurrencies, but they are mostly positive about the blockchain. They do not prohibit bitcoin, just do not encourage people to participate.

Alibaba's current situation, I think it is difficult for them to accept bitcoin as a payment method, because they are based in China, China temporarily will not allow such a large enterprise companies to accept what they do not support in advance as a means of payment.

I believe that alibaba realizes the advantage of using blockchain technology in making transactions faster. I hope that in the near future, alibaba would also accept cryptocurrencies as payment for their good and services.

While ultimately positive and bullish news - it has little to do with bitcoin.
They will simply use blockchain technology. I don't think that private blockchain or some altcoin is related to BTC all that much.
It's great that they are developing new tech, but I would be more interested when Alibaba would simply accept BTC as a payment method.

I totally agree. Though I am a fan of every coin created that makes technology easier, I would still prefer the use of bitcoin.
Alternative coins won't help much in making bitcoin as mainstream and though we need different support to block chain technology, bitcoin exchanges are wider since it is the medium of virtual currencies. It's easier to use as of now. And may remain superior because of its general use.

Blockchain tech is a very innovative technology, it won't be a surprise if all companies will adopt this kind of technology. However, there's no connection to Bitcoin when Alibaba uses blockchain technology. BTC has it's own blockchain technology, and also Alibaba want its own blockchain technology too, and I think in the future all these global brands will create its own blockchain tech to have full control of what's happening on their company. And it's not a sign that the market will go green again because of this technology adoption.
